Bigot, got mad about the rainbow server icon, and THEN edited out the trans server icon!!! Unbelievable.
Appeal
Honestly I guess its a two parter.
First off I didn’t know asking “When will the discord icon go back to normal?” was against the rules, but admittedly when the responses ranged from “everytime somebody asks the pride icon stays for another month” to “you don’t like it because you hate yourself” I figured I was pickled. I treat all folks around this server with respect, but for religious reasons I’m not partial to the icon.
To the second part, I frankly don’t understand what the mod responsible for banning me means. I was responding to @hry intermittently while welding a floor pan out in my garage when I got a ping from @GrimreaperX15 that he “fixed it for me”. Checked the server and the icon disappeared altogether! I figured he made it so I couldn’t see it or something, which was honestly a great solution. Respectful to my views without taking anything away from the people who enjoy it. I thanked him and went back to what I was doing.
Some time later got the notification that I was permanently banned. Considering the first half of the ban reason isn’t really accurate and the second half defies all logic (I don’t think you can edit server icons as a regular user on discord? Plus I don’t think a new icon failing to load is really my fault) I’d like a different mod to take a look at it.
I really just use the discord for #announcements and #new-round-start, so I don’t think you’ll find I have any history of unfriendliness towards anyone in the server, regardless of race, gender, or orientation.
