As of now the effects of ethonal are very weird and sometimes run in contrast to each other. Sometimes as MST or marine who found a fridge it’s fun to do some peak drunk RP. But their is one main issue
The drunken walking is too harsh. You are almost fully imcapable of controling you’r movement. It’s about as being unable to move at all. I think this too harsh for what is supposed to be a RP chem. Giveing the player more controled movement would be good. Cause of now you are effectivly rotted to the ground as their no way you’r walking out that door. Some drinks are so strong it takes only one glass to cause this to happen such as moonshine. Allowing player to move after getting drunk would allow for a lot more RP that can take place outside of you’r immediate area.
This could also apply to other drugs like libery caps and how they do the same thing. Some other minor drugs do the same thing but their not much fo an issue.
Plus how am I supposed to run from the MP after I painted the CL’s office red if I can’t even run.

I recall one of my first rounds of CM ever. We landed on NV’s eastern LZ and I found the prespawned beer and handed a few cans to my squad mates then drank like three.
It killed my liver, nearly killing me, and forced me up on first drop. I told an MP because I didn’t know they were an MP and they NJP’d me into doing drunken, awful pushups. I had a laugh, but I think I’d rather keep the latter memory without the former that made me spend nearly half an hour getting up and back down because I just didn’t know.
Lowering the boozepwr of some of these drinks could help a little, but I do think stuff like randomized movement should be kept to drinking five glasses of moonshine and then smashing the sixth over your head. Otherwise, it’s literally impossible to do anything, making you the worst kind of drunken wreck; the boring one.
Don’t think we should be dying from one bottle of alcohol. Maybe 3-5 but not 1 bottle. Can’t really even give out alcohol as CL cause of how much it annoys me when you go blind start suttering and suddenly you have 166 toxin 100 broken liver damage kidneys broken heart damage.
The entirely randomized movement just makes being drunk boring and frustrating. It doesn’t mechanically feel like being drunk. It’s just a cooldown on being able to play the game.
We are playing Marines, making the playerbase afraid of drinking is blatantly bad for RP.
