Predator actively interfered with a frontline engagement to attempt to secure his prey and prevent it from being capped. This included HPC’ing five xenos while forces were moving forwards. I was told to make a report.
This was me, sorry. I kidnapped a rifleman from an IO squad to hunt them, they ran away from me and got mobbed by xenos. As per HC I chose to try and save them to prevent them from being captured. As there were 5+ xenos actively surrounding my target I saw large stun’ing them to be the only way to recover them. I then took the body to the marines to be revived. I’m sorry for negatively impacting the frontline, I had no intention of my hunt interfering with the main conflict of the round and I should have just let my hunting target die. In the moment, I thought that allowing them to get captured or perma’d would be a worse outcome, and I was unaware marines were so close until I had already started to try and recover my target.
After some deliberation, and investigation into the logs and context of the stun and how it impacted other players. We will be applying a two week suspension due to Frontline clause.
You may ONLY use a melee weapon whilst hunting someone in the frontlines, I am well aware that you cited the Welfare of Prey Clause and I believe you were acting on that in good faith but due to that impact on the frontline with a plasmacaster, a suspension will be applied.
