Why do you wish to become a Fax Responder?
Few reasons.
I have a lot of experience in both command and MP roles and the ability to decipher those situations or enrich them when needed.
I’d like to enable roleplay that is often interesting and exciting that people often expect from Fax responses. Whether that is from HC or the Provost.
Additionally I am proficient in BBcode and enjoy writing those responses.
Overall the idea here is to enable RP and improve the immersion of it.
What do you consider the purpose of this role?
Provides an external input at cases where such is needed.
There are many moments where people hit roadblocks in-game and refer to the “Fax High-Command” solution. However, most faxes sent often receive no responses.
My purpose here is to make sure most of those Faxes sent to HQ receive a response, even if superficial. For more sensitive faxes, such as setting an arrest warrant or the likes that would impact rounds, I’d need coordination with an online staff member before taking action, however could still take away the burden of having to write up a reply to said faxes.
When would you consider it appropriate to use your phone?

If an explicit request has been made to reach high command immediately or directly.

While investigating an appeal sent to High Command (Provost), to coordinate and confirm facts with MP department if necessary.
If playing WY Responder, what objectives do you consider within your power to give the CL?
The CL has a position which has quite interesting potential for RP.
Beyond the usual “help operation bad, need pmc” faxes, I believe Liaisons also often have encounters with the ship’s command, survivors and sometimes entangled in marine law.
As a WY Responder I could:
- Provide advice or instructions on how to handle a presented situation in the Fax that has been sent
- iRP objectives for example asking the CL to secure information or intelligence on the operation. Reporting progress or operational status of marines, survivors, research etc.
- Convince ship command to sign certain forms such as NDAs or similar paperwork to protect the company through legal means.
- Secure sensitive information and evidence that could compromise the comany. For example the classified Wey-Yu dossier on Chance’s Claim or similar items.
If playing Press Responder, what objectives do you consider within your power to give the CC?
The Press correspondent is mostly an RP role that more often than not is seen broadcasting the fight.
To change things up a bit, I could assign objectives based on a certain background.
Concretely:
- Under a new recruitment and retention program to boost recruitment of the USCM, we are in need of articles, posters and combat pictures to use on our upcoming advertisement campaign. Please provide some of your best pictures, article entries and reports from the field that would inspire marines.
- Investigative news would like to expose the truth behind the UA expansionist policies and would like to obtain proof of any wrongdoing by USCM officers. Gather evidence of such via transcripts, interviews, pictures and report it back to us.
- Stars and Stripes is making a new publication this month. Submit the most intense and action packed stories you have been able to witness so far. A figurative reward could be provided.
