I’ve always played my character as greedy. I steal xeno and colony shit to sell to the CL. Or I speedrun a bunch of the loose cash on the ship. I inevitably end up needing to deposit said cash in the ATM.
I’ve noticed that the ATM doesn’t accept large stacks immediately, and demands a cool down period for deposits. Usually $220 is accepted in one go, but once you get above $250 you start losing cash. I also just got like $2k in a splittable pile recently, and was trying to break it up by $200. But that started causing a separate issue of reducing the accepted amount even in smaller denominations. Not sure if that is the cool down or a bug. SmellyHippie told me to bug report it, I’ll do that later.
Is there a way to make the ATM more consistent? Or provide a guide on the Wiki about how it should work and it’s cool down system? I can understand we want to prevent massive griefing and stuff, but when you get paid good by the CL it can be kind of difficult depositing every dollar. Allowing $500 per deposit and a more publicly notable cool down would be nice. Maybe the ATM screen turns red if its on cool down, or I can shift click it to know what’s going on at least? I just want to better understand the ATM as a functioning machine.
