you open byond and click on CM. the first thing you do upon joining is type fix-chat into the command bar because TGUI never works, and if you don’t, your chat is gonna look like the script of a 90s hacker movie. you spawn in as a PFC, and the first thing you hear is some bald guy screaming “MP’S ARE ASS” while an MP drags a delta marine to the brig for trying to fistfight the CO during briefing. you make it to the dropship just in time to hear the pilot telling everyone to shut up or they’ll crash it into a mountain. five minutes later, you’re on the ground, and someone’s already yelling for a medic because they decided to test if running into fire was a good idea. you shoot at the scout spec thinking he’s a lurker, miss every shot, and then a real lurker appears and rips your legs off before disappearing back into the dark. you lay there bleeding out, typing “MEDIC” in all caps while three marines run past you like you’re a piece of furniture. eventually, a corpsman shows up, stabs you with bica once, and says, “you’re fine, stop crying.”
