I have a very RP focused opinion, but I think its MUCH more soulful to see people making barricades out of vending machines and flipped tables. Its a lot more cinematic.
i wont care as much if they bring back old SD
Hijack used to be fun as a shipside role
Now itâs just cryo on red
Maints knew what they did with this change and the primary reason they removed the anchoring instead of removing them altogether from shipside (as they knew what the general reaction wouldâve been)
Gaslighting your playerbase - so hot right now
Admin chat leak (totes real): âHey guys, so as we know there is a population-burning connection incident going on right now - itâs the best time to merge a bunch of anti-fun changes!â
jeh except all the changes were made and decided on before the ddos
Amen brother.
Obviously it is necessary and existance of grieffers would not only be accounted for, but expected. To create the feeling of paranoia you gotta have an OOC threat, then true emotion can be felt.
Almost everyone on the ship is armed, one gun lunatic might kill few others, but he will get gunned down himself. Knowing that next round is in just few minutes means your death isnât that bad.
Through this you could really find genuine cooperation that isnât enforced by rules, just by two, or more people trusting each other enough to not shoot on sight, but still keeping an eye on themselfs in case somebody tries a trick later.
As I mentioned it would be easy to code as the only substantial change is a rule one, which is just a text you can add and then advertise on forum, discord and server.
Come on head admemes, give it a shot.
It is at the very least worth a test merge.
âImprove donât removeâ
Hey letâs practically remove a core mechanic from marines during hijack!
Honestly sick of this shit, itâs just making me cryo as soon as marines EVAC, itâs just a xeno victory lap most of the time anyhow. They should just remove hijack if they are going to screw around with it this dreadfully.
Me when I just frag and die in an awesome way instead of whining
WITNESS ME!
I forgot, US Bases in Vietnam were not allowed to use HESCO or Concrete Barriers, and instead were ordered to defend themselves with a steel table
so trve
The thing about going âwell half of marines cryo on hijack, thatâs how they know we donât like it!â is that before the change, half of the xenos would ghost at hijack, especially ones where tons of marines evacced. Itâs the same thing, just on the other side.
Remember when sailors defended their ship from boarding with HESCO and concrete barriers indoors? Was really amazing, I was shocked when I learned that CM13 was actually first based on these very real events
this is miserable dawg just remove hijack and make the game end when marines leave the planet, itâs all the same.
Tbh just give the command tablet a button that says âfly off into spaceâ. Youâre on a fucking ship, why on Earth would you ever just hang around the planet filled with a million aliens that just overwhelmed you? If xenos wanna hijack they can actually get onto the Alamo when itâs being launched and fly with the marines. Otherwise the round just ends after command hits the button.
