Bravo/FOB Gameplay Rework.

JRP here, a renowned (allegedly) req and cic player. I have recently noticed that no matter how much metal and how many supplies are sent to FOB, it will always be found lacking: just yesterday as QM I had a mental breakdown after sending a shitload of metal and plasteel stacks, foldable cades, two bags of blowtorches, both engineering pamphlets, welding goggles, APC Boards, Cells, etc, down to FOB, which was never actually built.

Thus, I am proposing a revolutionary engineering & FOB gameplay rework. We are removing CTs entirely from the game, and Bravo squad as well.
All former bravo mains with the exception of Ty Williamson are to be banned for Extreme Neglect of Duty, and their function is to be delegated to CIC with the mechanism I will explain below.

We will be adding a Cities:Skylines - like FOB editor, which interested parties (QM, XO, SO, ASO, CE) will be able to utilise to construct FOB themselves. A new WL role - a W-Y FOB Construction FOB Association Planner will ensure that the planning is up to regulations and does not lower the property value of the area. The cades will start automatically being constructed using metal sent to FOB, which is to be placed into the special “Stockpile” zone.

This new system will ensure a better gameplay for all parties involved: as we will no longer have rounds end too quickly because of shoddy construction work.

If marine construction was similar to xeno construction, I’d find it more fun.

Marine Hivelords when?

Unironically alien building makes me lose my shit rp-wise if done remotely

People can talk shit about my rp standards all they want, but i cant seriously look at queen eye spamming walls behind me and not think “this is just like fortnut guys”

But building itself could use a rework ill agree on that

Big part of the problem is that everything is a cluttered mess in fob. There’s no way to store and organize anything, and nobody wants to spend 30+ minutes doing it manually on the ground, nor do players have the mind to clean up after themselves nor organize a few things on their own initiative.

So the end result is the fob is always a cluttered mess where you cannot find anything. I can’t count the number of times I found a backpack in some corner of fob underneath 30 MRE wrappers with 200 metal and 70 plasteel in it that’s been sitting there unused for the entire round.

i as qm sort every single item into labeled backpacks, people are just too stupid

It’s genuinely better for stuff NOT to be in backpacks

People see a backpack and autoignore
If the plasteel and metal is laying out their monkey brains trigger and they’ll use it

Just how it is, organizing stuff into backpacks is actually a detriment to people using it

Unironically true. Backpacks are more space efficient, but are unnoticeable.

Have us be able to send vendors to the FOB that req restocks that has all the items like ammo or stuff, would make things slightly neater

most bravo comtechs dont know how to cade unfortunately, if you have a single bravo comtech who knows what they’re doing they can make an impenetrable fortress pretty easy given the time

Holy shit that’s actually genius. Takes away from the soul of having a bloody and cluttered FOB after the hour long siege, imo, but this is infinitely more efficient.

It’s not my fault, ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS MAKE AN M56B MAG BOX AND SEND A RECHARGER! WHY DO THEY USE BAGS??? AHHHHHHHHHHHH!
