Hi! During the BYOND DDOS, you may struggle get into the BYOND pager to connect ordinarily. Here’s a few common Q&As.

My BYOND is stuck on “Loading game info…”

Press Ctrl + L, which will bring up the log in prompt. If you have cached details (from telling BYOND previously to remember you), you can then press log in.

You can then press Ctrl + O to open the direct connect prompt, which you can enter byond://play.cm-ss13.com:1400 into, or click this link.

I don’t have any cached details

You can now sign in using the CM-SS13 forums. See:

Game Authentication

We’re now allowing guest connections, given the ongoing DDOS. However, all guest connections will instead be prompted to authenticate via the CM-SS13 Forums instead. When you sign in as a guest, you’ll be shown the below screen. The button will then open your browser, where you’ll be directed to create or sign in to your account (or be automatically signed in if you’re already logged in on your browser). I need to create a BYOND account

You can’t create a BYOND account until the DDOS has stopped. You can sign in with the above method instead.

I need to install BYOND

You can grab versions of BYOND from our mirror here. You will likely just want the latest version.

I chose a bad time to uninstall and reinstall BYOND…

Thanks for the tips, though, Harry! I haven’t been able to satify my SS13 cravings for weeks now… the withdrawals are kicking in hard.

Edit: Just tried this, and it works! Sadly, because I uninstalled and reinstalled BYOND, I am stuck as a guest and not allowed in any of the SS13 servers I usually play. This is literally 1984…
