Can we remove the FOB turrets?

Maybe make godsentries last exactly 5-10 minutes so you can set up cades and not just go set up comms and stuff first. Honestly this is what I do when I roll bravo CT, I just go set up comms knowing the FOB is completely safe. There is no pressure, there is no responsibility, I really hate it as a CT even more than I hate it as a xeno. I already mentioned how it made first drop as the DP completely dull. Again, before I would stay on LZ, waiting for comms to confirm it’s safe to cycle and marines didn’t get fucked right away. There was some tension in it, even though I don’t want to oversell it too much. Now I just launch back as soon as I can because the game made sure NOTHING can go wrong. Boring. This is not how I imagine landing in a combat zone.

I agree, but these are not super death turrets. People only die to them because they expect them to be like regular sentry damage and don’t know about the extra range they have. It’s only catching a few unaware people and preventing pushes into actively defended fobs; I have on more than one occasion still seen the entire fob attacked and overrun with these sentries still up.

so in other words they DONT serve their original intended purpose of stopping the entire hive from curbstomping, they just ruin the round for backliners and Bravo.

And btw this only happens when xenos get bored because marines put up such a poor fight. I’ve unironically seen the turrets put up better fights than marines some games, because to kill a turret you need boilers to gas it or literally the entire hive to deathball them one at a time
