Description of the incident:

I joined in on a hunting grounds round and wandered around until I ran into a UPP minigunner and someone else. We then wandered around together for a while, without hearing any pred sounds or fighting. We came into the sand area and after a short period, I decided to shoot down a door in one of the shacks to see if they were inside. When I broke into the shack I looked around and only saw some carcasses hung up and a plate of meat on a table, I started to eat the meat and was met with an eradication sphere to the back of my head, instantly killing me. Extremely confused as to what happened, I was informed in deadchat that I was classified as dishonorable for it. I went to the rules, found where the honor code was, and read that “Prey rushing predator buildings to breach them and prey being LRP towards each other or to the predator are dishonorable”. I’m not sure how I can justify that I wasn’t rushing buildings, but I wasn’t sure what was going to be behind it. I’ve played hunting grounds a few times and I didn’t remember anything useful in most of the buildings. I thought it was quite mean to summon an ERT to hunt, and then blow me up without ever appearing to us beforehand because I blew down a door to a shack! It wasn’t even the big temple up north. I did hear in deadchat that they said something in chat about leaving the area but I went back and saw no such chat logs in my chat, maybe a bad timing thing on my part.

I wasn’t intending to rush any pred buildings, and being blown up by a predator explosive bomb thing without ever seeing or fighting him was a let down for me. If the dishonorable rule could be clarified more to me as to why it was such a egregious sin that I committed or a predator whitelist person would tell me why that was the best course of action I would much appreciate it!

Also I think the predator blew up the building more than me with their eradication sphere, destroying about 3 chairs and the floor O.O

Thanks for reading I guess, I’m not sure if I’m just stupid or I find this honor code part a bit silly. If it was like “If a hunted breaks into a building they are dishonorable” which would make more sense to me than the current rule!

Hello, I was the predator who blew you up

I was watching you from the side and it seemed near instant. You threw a grenade and shot the door open quite insistingly.

I approached the building, used the translator to say ‘GET OUT’ (which I see wasn’t picked up by your logs so you weren’t in range), and the two other hunting grounds prey backed off, after which I saw you handling a gun while having another one equipped so I blew you up thinking you picked gear up.

Those buildings are typically used to store dead bodies and gear of past hunting ground ERTs, with someone having used the ERT earlier. Some people instantly rush those buildings to grab better guns and gear, which is what you seemingly did.

The gun inside was an empty HPR rifle, which I discarded and saw a piece of queen steak which I found funny so I picked it up with a fork and started to eat it before I was annihilated by your eradication sphere :melting_face:

Hello, I have revied the logs from this incident and from the time that the ert was called:

The time you primed a nade to enter the building:
Mar 16, 2025 @ 00:36:17.963 26867 ATTACK ATTACK: Carl Trent/(Arya Morgan) primed a grenade (�Webley Mk15 stick grenade) in the �Jungle Moon Campsite (144,51,4).

The time it took you to click the ERT beacon, join it, spawn in, run to the building, and blow up the door is enough for me to deny this report. I actively encourage predators to dispatch prey that rush to certain places inside the hunting ground, mainly the temple and the buildings around the predator teleport location.
