Whitelist in question:

Synthetic

Description of the incident:

Major Dafoe ordered a fallback to FOB/Comms, as I began rallying people to fallback the synth got on delta comms to tell people (in a manner that could be interpreted as an order) to bring wounded to Hydro. I ran over to Grace and told them orders are to fallback to fob - (not take wounded to Hydro) - Ordering wounded to hydro is ordering everyone hauling a dead person -to hydro- instead of to FOB. I then insisted they take their current (1) patient on a roller bed to FOB, and they ignored me, brushed me off and just wanted to argue its not an order. So I left them and tried to get other marines back, while synth remained behind placing themself in danger and confusing the fallback as some people wanted to stay to guard them - while other people ran for fob. This contributed heavily to a clusterfuck of a retreat. On my way back to FOB I passed two medics, and got wounded to a bravo medic working in fob, as ordered.

Synth should not be directly countermanding the COs orders. If CO says go to FOB, all caps telling people to instead, go to hydro, is a direct countermanding of the COs order. We should not be taking wounded to hydro for the synth when the order is to go to Fob. Someone with Westrovers experience knows full well the result of bringing wounded to hydro is everyone piling into and standing around Hydro. They should have taken thier (1) wounded to fob on the roller and worked there.

I had abcd this, because I was the lone Medic working at beach - and i had several people on several comms asking for me or a medic, I abcd this, because people needed to know where i was, and I was treating a marine with heavy damage, with the arc.

I had lurkers behind me and T3’s north of me, my option was pretty minimal in what i could do.
It was not to combat command, but to get wounded and downed marines to me, so I could treat them - I had the arcs support with me.

While yes, other medics were present in the round, I was the only one close to the front line, where the fallback was happening.

As well, marines were not falling back anyway or listening to the orders of command, so I abcd’ed for people to know where to move bodies.l. What i did was not to subvert command, but was listening to their command,. , I knew people needed bodies treated and were screaming for me, since i was sitting hydro and treating a marine with 800 damage, my only option was to send that out to get people moving to me/know where i am currently

Dafoe here.

I did give said order, and marines were moving to FOB. They got holed up in hydro, and then it was a wipe. I disagree with the sentiment that they weren’t listening in the first place. I do not think you needed to treat them at hydro either, and that instead of ABCDing for marines to protect you and move bodies to hydro, you should’ve stuck to the original plan of assisting in getting people to FOB.

If I announce to get to FOB/comms, that is an order, not a suggestion and it is my opinion that a synthetic should not be the one interpreting that. I think it’s entirely valid to grab the injured from hydro and continue the treatment of the patients you were dealing with, but not try to sway marines into holding the area I requested a fallback from.

My two cents.

I think this fundementally doesnt understand that i was working with Marines here, my abcd was because i had a 800 damage marine, people where clearly confused on where to go, and needed my support, but since i was locked down at Hydro. I had to abcd otherwise i would violate self-preservation to charge into a swarm of lurkers.
