Base prae is an ultra glorified spitter. That’s not what it is supposed to be nor what it could be. Since rav is very much high dmg and crusher the tank prae needs to be the middle ground. A bruiser with a mix of damage and cc that can deal moderate damage and stuns around him while still being of moderate health for a T3. Maybe do something like a basic aoe stun and an aoe slash since technically that’s how a prae would fight up close. While its strains more or less cover for this issue, I think base prae would be far more suited for a strain and maybe swap a frontline strain into base. The reason I made the post is cause I am unfamiliar with the frontline strains and I am not sure if they are begginer friendly/easy basics

Praes are a ‘anything you wanna be’ caste, you pick it and choose whatever strain you want. They’re royal guards who fulfill whatever role the Queen wants, they’re not like the ravager where they have to be shoehorned into melee killing machines.
If anything, I think it gives praes a unique identity by simply being so versatile.

From a player-friendly perspective, base prae is an incredibly easy T3 to play safely for newbies- Your spit does quite a lot of damage and is genuinely pretty good if you consistently hit splints to attrit marines, while you don’t need to risk your life by diving in and out.
The point of strains is that they offer a new way to play once you get the general hang of the base caste (and also cause it lets you add new castes without actually doing all the work of adding new castes), so there’s no real need for them all to be beginner friendly.
Regardless, most strains aren’t that hard conceptually, e.g. oppressor is legit just a cap machine, hook, fling into egg or friends, do anything, fling into egg or friends, laugh at GL when they don’t understand why you won’t get stunned

Base prae is the default because its so easy to play, you can contribute some decent damage while being incredibly safe. If you want to play a play a frontline strain then I recommend vanguard, it does a very good amount of single target damage and is pretty safe with its dash and shields.

If anything you can replace dancer with a…what seems to be a rav with less damage but more CC abilities. Only like 3 people on the server can actually use the dancer with some potential. There is no safer T3 to be than base prae for new players.
While there is no class that can get in and ‘disrupt’ groups of marines, it is probably better that way. During flanks, xenos can already wipe the floor, especially with the queen screeing in the middle of em all.
dancer is fun but beyond terrible
Dancer needs love because it has been forgoten. Its beyond bad, unless you want to put 300hours into a single strain
