In d-chat, Jarektheraptor was talking about his fursona, a robotic lizard, so I decided to tease him over it by saying “you wanna fuck the robotic arms at the car factory” , I told him I was joking, but about 15 (maybe even 10) seconds later, lynxsolstice pms me, says “You made a VERY explicit +18 comment”, I said “it’s an obvious crude joke come on” and then he goes “it’s not a good joke” and then BANS me for 24 hours. This isn’t a ban because he was worried about or whatever, i’m 100% convinced he’s just doing this because JarekTheRaptor is his friend and he doesn’t like people insulting him. “A very explicit +18 comment” a robotic arm at the car factory… come on dude, are you serious?

Heya! Looking into this report and the logs I do agree that its a, pretty minor, Rule 1 break since you’re going quite far with the whole “joking”. Also while it might be somewhat more of a joke to you it does to the uninvolved eye come off as borderline harassment/being a dick.
Looking at the action that LynxSolstice took I do agree that its a rulebreak and dont think that there was any malicious intent in the situation.
However, the punishment should not have been escalated straight to a 1 day ban since the incident isnt extremely severe and you dont have any prior notes for Rule 1/Rule 3 violations.
I wish there was a more neutral option for reports. Anyways I’m going to tentatively Approve this report.
As for action taken the note will be replaced by a simple warning for a breach of Rule 3 instead of a ban.
I am also going to sincerely apologize since you shouldnt have recieved a ban in the first place. I really am sorry that you ended up sitting out a ban timer that was unjustified in the end.
I will also be talking to @LynxSolstice about ban escalation and when its appropriate to escalate straight to a ban and when its not appropriate to do that.
