Description of the incident:
I spoke with another admin in another round and they informed me that (not me) but that civ aren’t allowed to land on planet or leave the LZ without permission from CIC. I believe the admin was LTNTS.
So, we were playing 624, a jungle map, with the secret tree / vines. I think it is 624, sorry if im wrong.
I spoke to Crossman and because I was banned directly at the end of round and my client froze, I could give a date and time for my round ID.
That was around 1pm AEST 08/12/2023.
So I’m rifleman and I’m by myself outside of LZ, heading north towards the front lines and I see a light up ahead so I go in and check in. There is an MT setting up a forward OB, completely by themselves. They have used a shittonne of mats setting up a fortress in one of the circle buildings, not the one directly above the LZ and passed one further up, a med bay i think, its the one just passed that. I think.
Either way, we were passed the circle building that connects to the north LZ, which is where he attacked me later on.
I ask them why they are outside LZ - they tell me its fine, they have an escort. out of sheer curiosity on HOW to get permission I asked them if he got permission. They asked me what my problem was, I asked where this escort was. They just walked off.
They ran out of site and I ended up finding them at the LZ connected circle and I said to the my bravo squad ‘he was outside lz’ and he claims with an escort, I ask the MT who it was, and where how the MT got permission.
they ignored me again and they just kept telling me ‘whats your problem’ there was no attempt at rp, this person was intent on building bases as a MT it appeared.
so I put in ahelp. However it reported that no admins where currently on. I didnt want to push the issue so i didnt click the bother admins click, and just submitted.
I then, was left in the north part of the LZ with the MT and just looked east over the cades.
the MT came up and laid me out, and disarmed me.
I chased him, but he was gone. I told the others that the MT attacked me for no reason and that I caught him outside the LZ, they told me it was in the LZ. They were confused about where it was happening and thought the two incidents happened in the same place.
I put in ahelp again, this time clicking the escalate button.
I walked back outside into the weeded/vine area and he was heading from the LZ passed me, out, and I shot a burst. 2 hit.
Bravo then rushed me and disarmed me, the MT tried arresting me with plastic cuffs, kept hitting my body while i was down, the aSL gave me a subbordination mark in RP. I explained that the MT was outside the LZ -the MT said with escort, I asked who, another player then informed the SL that MT’s shouldn’t be outside the LZ and shouldn’t touch marines and they let me go.
I then pursued the issue 'who gave you permission to be down here" and thats when I got an admin message.
The evidence is me trying to explain that;
from the point of view I had, a civilian worker, had flown down to the planet, and was, lying about having permission and an escort, was running around freely outside the LZ without an escort or permission and attacked me for no reason after an incident had ended.
I believe that my attack was justified under the extraordinary events clause - that because the civ was breaking orders, not roleplaying, explaining how they were allowed on planet, outside the lz or explaining who their escort was. There was bullshit - and then they attacked me.
The admin - MsLoveShacker - seemed to try to frame the event that -just- my actions where involved, and that the MT was justified in their behavior.
however they were clearly breaking the rules, both RP and standard operating procedure, if they told me;
- who was escorting them.
- who gave them permission.
- that they would remain in the LZ.
For all I knew ( in RP ) they could be someone working against us, or a spy. That’s our lore.
the entire situation would of been over, however MsLoveShacker,
informed me that;
- I have no power over civs - which contradicts what i have read and been told.
- that it is not a marines job to investigate people outside the LZ, which i barely did other than check chain of command/escorts.
- that marines arent military police; even though the purpose of MP’s is to police the military, and also, not supposed to leave the LZ.
She told me that I was being argumentative, and aggressive I believe - and then took a power control tone that ‘This is the way its going to be’ and other such inappropriate language; as well as give me the same reasons the MT gave for being outside the LZ- and when I asked the admin directly if they had permission or who their escort was; told me that the issue was my rule breaking behavior. Not theirs.
I was then banned, the message said ‘further ERP as well’. Which is strange because after the incident I found a corner to argue my corner in regards to an admin that seemed to be spreading favoritism rather than following or informing me of how the situation was wrong in light of the rules.

*at this point my character just dropped outside the LZ, i couldnt move.

Admin PM from-MsLoveShacker: You broke a rule. Rule 10. You as a Marine have no authority over a civilian. You are not an officer, an MP, nor were you deputized.
PM to-Admins: They also broke a rule. they also broke RP rules. As a marine, I do have authority over civs, it says that quite clearly in the operational policies in the wiki. an MP is military police, they police the military, they ALSO don’t go out of the LZ.

PM to-Admins: he was half way between the LZ and the north push when I found him, by himself, getting mats. he refused to stop. he gave me a whole bunch of lies and wouldn’t answer any questions. this is not how this works. Ive had a situation like this explained to me by another admin and you’re contridicting them directly.
