Nowadays, though, winning is significantly easier as marine so throwing the round as a CO for the sake of “roleplay” is not as accepted before.
Ive had fun doing stupid shit like being a external webbing no firearm injured taxi, going external webbing FTL with NVG with a m39 and flamer on predator rounds and make it my only mission to run into the dark to find Predators then die to them 152512 times, etc. But when you play a command role like CO, your expected to keep the interests of the entire team in mind, and most people nowadays want to win, not get trolled by your no comms, all squads paradrop into the xeno hive strategy.
