I find it really weird that despite the UA colonies in game we never see any Colony administrators or any other sort of government official, additionally the only current Leadership survivors i can think of on most colonies are mainly priests, so the addition of some colonial administrators would be nice for more survivor variation and making the map make more sense.
Sound idea. I like it.
If by leadership you mean ‘gives the orders abilities’ then yeah. You have Priests and a few Liaison Variants.
If by leadership you mean ‘held some form of rank/importance prior to the incident’ then there’s a few other flavor roles scattered about. The Liaisons are the obvious ones, but Solaris has the CMO still kicking (they don’t get an ID but they get the CMO hat). Trijent can have the Research Director (which imo is insane that The Head Honcho Of WeyYu Research at Trijent survives) be a survivor slot. There’s also, of course, the whitelisted CO roles. Other maps may have more, but those stick out at the moment.
Not that I’m opposed to having more of these mind you. Just most leader roles are a bit ‘disguised’. And if any of the existing roles should get the order abilities first on my list would be the USCM Recruiter survivor. You’re telling me that a sergeant who was picked to be the face of the USCM for their charisma doesn’t know how to command people?
Yeah so there’s about two variants of Leadership survivors on every map, which is pretty few compared to security, i was mainly talking about the give orders ablity.
This would be cool as a spawn option for corporate survivor, like how you can spawn as an ICC liaison on certain maps. Might be something to look into for Hybrisia ngl.
Doesn’t really work on Hybrisa as that’s 3WE and not UA, now a member from say the Governor’s office (3WE has a provisional governor for Frontier colonies, so they probably have a governor for the Neroid sector) would make more sense for hybrisa and trijent.
I had heard somewhere that it was a joint UA/3WE venture. But yeah, that makes sense.
