cuberound - Player Report: Jordan "Raptor" Cross, execution for nor fallowing unlawful/suicidal order

After investigating this report the Council has determined the following points/verdicts:

  1. The initial order to have the PO fly down to recover survivors at the LZ was legal and valid. Logs have determined the order to send the Normandy down was given immediately after the Alamo was breached by the Queen. As a result, had the order been followed through on the dot, survivor recovery would have definitely been possible and not a “suicide mission”. However it did become a suicide mission after the order was stalled so hard that by the time the PO considered launching, it was already too late. Seconds matter.
Because of this the Battlefield Execution for the PO was valid due to disobeying a direct and critical order that ended up costing Marine lives.

  2. We don’t care if a CO dislikes hijack. It’s everyone’s choice to stop playing the moment they stop having fun, and if someone doesn’t have fun then their role should not give them an obligation to defend hijack even though they are clearly not enjoying it. This is a game. People play it to have fun, not to do chores.
We will, however, be talking to Jarek about wordlessly going to cryo. While not explicitly against CoC, it’s encouraged regardless to inform the CIC or other staff that you’ll be going via radio message.

  3. After log digging we have not found any evidence of the CO threatening to BE the Alamo pilot early on besides a warning made by the CO that the PO “won’t get to do flyby a fourth time”. As such we will be dismissing this particular side of the investigation.

With all that being said, the CO Council has determined this report is not valid. While we will speak to Jarek about the cryo issue, their BE order was in the end, justified. Report denied.
