Description of the incident:

I have been CAS pilot with alamo being locked down on main LZ by the queen with all marines fighting there. I was ordered by the CO to go to the other LZ to “save survivors” but I checked tacmap and saw that no marines are nowhere near evac and informed everyone that I am being ordered to deploy alone on empty LZ and on planet that has been lost, informed them several times. then I went for flyby as I saw one of the last living marines throw a casflare and fired on it trying to make their death mean more in the long run as their life would not be wasted if few more xenos died. right after that I landed and CO opened fire on me. And for those with lock yes I fired back, that does not change stuff he missed his first shot it was proper escalation, and his reason for execution was still stated that I refused to deploy.

i would also like to add that the CO cryo’d right after executing him because he was “mad about hijack and the round being over” (he said this in dead chat)

You, as the Normandy Pilot, were the only possible escape for any and all marines groundside. That being the entire marine force, you were ordered to deploy LZ2 whilst I made a hasty announcement for evac to be made at LZ2 for any marines who could make it there the moment the Queen hijacked the Dropship (and I became aware of it).

At the time this order was given I was watching a lot of helmet cams, and a lot of marines were still alive. They had no way out, except for your help. You opted to refuse, and I had to argue with you to try to get you to comply instead of co-ordinating the evacuation effort.

In hindsight I should have just remote launched it and skipped dealing with you entirely, but I digress. Your refusal to do anything involving the evacuation and calling it an “unlawful order” in my opinion killed any chance of rescue that anyone groundside had. You got the bullet for that. Cas striking the survivors was a whatever - cool.

The tac-map screenshot provided is only after you were shot in the head, only after the 5 or so minutes I spent waiting for you and asking you to do do this evacuation and only after you CAS striked the last survivors with your dropship

there were no groundside marines near the LZ I was able to land on as you can see on the screenshot and I used tacmap to check it before I died

Hello,

I messaged @Clairion because I was the XO for the round in question. I’m going to post the same thing here I sent them in our DM:

The CO was very BE happy that round. He threatened to BE the new Alamo pilot at round start because he had accidentally done flyby rather than ferry. (If you read his announcements from around T+23, so about 18:30ish on the log time, you’ll see what I mean). There was some earlier issue with the PO which sparked him to say this aswell. I believe the PO took the alamo out for a “Test flyby” during briefing.

I had told the CO “There are no survivors” already once he had started ordering the evac. Especially after the CAS mission, there was no one even moving to pick up. I defiantly advise checking the logs on this because my timing could be wrong on the timing.

Cryoing after BEing the guy is just kind of an asshole thing because he cryoed AS THE ALAMO was put on the crash course. He didn’t tell anyone he was doing it, I had to find out and organize the evac after some random rifleman told me.

The tac-map provided as evidence post-BE shows at least 2 pockets of surviving marines that could have been rescued at the very least if the LZ had actually been there. Survivors or otherwise the AO was still active and refusing to deploy to it actively killed any chance any marine had of surviving.

The first take off was done by the second pilot, I just wanted to give some explanation for what he did because he didn’t know his role ( how to fly transport still is not in the guide)

As second pilot flying the Normandy, I supposed you were doing transport, as I wook up first and was already CASing when you joined? About the first take off, if you mean the flyby directly after FOB was evacuated, I checked if there were still CAS signals at FOB remaining and didn’t try to evacuate marines from LZ2. (And no, I don’t need a “transport for dummies” guide on how to press the funny LZ2 button)

Important context on calling the MP’s to the alamo on the first log pull there is that someone said marines were starting to cause trouble on the alamo so I was tryna send them in for that. Was not to arrest the PO or fuck with them in any way.

no that was about the first drop flyby. and yes you do fucking need a guide, I have to explain it to every single new pilot/DCC. command fucked up countless times when it was introduced too
