Oh Hey! I believe I am the Roen! So for some context.. I have recently just returned and decided to roll engineer surv and we decided to hold engineering, which I just went along with.. After fetching some gloves out of a locker, another comes in with the furwa or whatever it is. I was a bit confused OOC cause.. I recall that being BAD. So I didn’t interact with it at all, I may have made a comment on it but that’s about it. I’m pretty sure it also shot me with a gun and I just shrugged it off. I also recall someone cuffing it? Though I’m not sure about the locker bit, you’ll notice I did a lot of standing around and just fixing/building. Oh, I do recall the comment about it shocking itself on the door, but I have no movement or hand in securing it or handling it whatsoever! But that’s just my side of things.

Gonna give my take on this because while the veracity of the post is high it also leaves out some context that was spoken about in LRC.

Right from the start: Full disclosure, I’m admitting a violation of rule 6 because of poor understanding of it, I had a note about a similar infraction when I first was getting into surv a big while ago and it was about killing a monkey, so I just made the association of: “Merc-ing a monke = bad”, I didn’t had in mind that hauling them into safe spaces was against the rules, in fact if logs are pulled on this round then there will be a chat log about me commenting something about conserving the Naera to “Screw over xenos” because again, I thought that it was perfectly reasonable and fine because I didn’t knew this morning that it was against the rules.

Altough the main reason I’m making the post is to add some context that despite being available given that it was said on LRC, was left out. Also gonna take the chance to add in more context that wasn’t in LRC.

I was the one that brought the naera in, while in the picture taken it shows the Naera in the most secure part of the hold it wasn’t left in there for long because while I was working on the hold it picked up a nailgun that was on the floor and it randomly decided to shoot once at a fellow surv. After that I decided that the Naera was an annoyance and I tried to cuff it with wire cuffs to prevent it from picking up another gun and potentially shooting something more powerful against other survs.

The wire cuffs, when applied fell immediately on the floor, probably an intentionally developed feature, but either way given that I failed at somehow preventing the naera from further silliness I decided to move it into the room that was south-east, the one that has a fuel tank and a nailgun by default. This was mostly because I was about to make mollies and I was scared at the possibility of it triggering a mollie just because why not.

That room was completely unprotected, the only sort of protection was a hacked door that was between us and the naera so it wasn’t really protecting the naera itself, but rather the entry into the main part of the hold from that angle.

Also after a minute or so after I moved it into that room. The naera touched the door and zapped itself.

Now I won’t say that I was babysitting it so I can’t really tell what happened, but in my knowledge it only zapped itself once and electrocution only does like 30 burn damage so I wasn’t really scared about the possibility of it dying, and I know that it wasn’t really a problem because if it nearly died then the fact that it survived for long enough to just get snatched by a random drone a while later would make no sense, which based on what I know (which is not the entirety of the ordeal so I encourage logs to be pulled) said drone just sneaked into the room while we were distracted, snatched the naera and walked out as we realized what just happened, we tried to follow but it was too late.

Also about the locker thing: Yeah I got no idea about it, while I sort of played the round on reflexes and a sort of muscle memory I don’t remember stuffing it into a locker because as ironic as it sounds I do perceive that to be against the rules. No idea who did it.
