Why would you like to join the CM-SS13 staff team?
When contributing to the game I often notice myself saying “Be the change you wish to see” to newer contributors, encouraging people to pick up coding and work to make their vision for the game we all enjoy a reality, with the topic of RP standards of the server and the general enforcement of it’s rules coming up a lot lately, I believe I can utilize my passion and drive for the game and it’s community to help keep it great, the current staff team is awesome and it’d be a pleasure to work with them.
What makes you a great addition to Staff? (Experienced Tabletop DM, Aliens Lore Buff, Super Organized, etc.?)
I have a decent amount of technical experience with the backend of SS13’s moderation tools(albeit a bit rusty), and experience moderating players both mature and less so from my days handling GMod servers, as well as a passion for the game and it’s community.
Between that and having worked customer service I know how to calmly de-escalate tensions, and have a deep understanding of the game and it’s systems.
I work nightshifts, and as such tend to play during lower pop brackets that could use extra eyes.
In your opinion, what is the most important quality of a CM-SS13 staff member?
Patience and communication, nobody likes dealing with a staff member that seems angry or aggressive, taking some time to appreciate the whole situation and actually understand and empathize with a player’s perspective means they are going to be more likely to actually take it in when you explain how they ran afoul of the rules. I believe that everyone does things for a reason, and by taking some time and stepping in their shoes you can unpack those reasons and come to a better conclusion.

+1 massive fucking noob but he’s awesomesauce as a player. i dont think i see him crashout at all and i doubt he’d have one while acting as a moderator. ^ _ ^
Never seen google get uber mad or lose their cool in-game or OOC, plus they’re very mechanically experienced, active, and are obviously trusted enough to hold a WL.
I’m 100% confident they’d make a fantastic addition to the moderation team- being able to stay calm and deal with us salty bastards in a nice way is a great skill to have in staff.
+1 Player displays all traits that a staff member and a player should have, be it the level-headedness, a will and tendency to roleplay and being amicable.
+1 Yrsa is not only knowledgeable about CM but also a great person to speak with. I whole heartily support them becoming a mod. If someone doesn’t agree, I’ll fight them!
Yrsa was one of the first people I interacted with when I joined the community in December. I have nothing but positive interactions to mention, whether its in LOOC, OOC, or IC. They handle everything well, and have solved IC issues.

Smart, friendly, and helpful. Always willing to help people in-game and on Discord. Unsure how they will handle moderation tools but they definitely have the characteristics for a solid admin.
