To be clear a changelog is already present, but you have to open the game to view it, and the one on the discord is unformatted and not easy to use for discussion

beagle doesnt think so and im starting to dislike that guy

Tbh we already have a counting thread, having a thread where someone just copy-pastes the change log from in-game every once in a while is a direct upgrade

A forum version of the changelog would be more accessible. I know where it is currently is available to all but more people use the forum so then things could be discussed better here if it were moved or mirrored here.

your conspiracy theorying must be tiring. the reality is that the current discord changelog bot was - shockingly, coded before these forums existed. no one has bothered to code something for the forums

I am pretty sure it’s easier to sneak stuff on the forum since the majority of players don’t even use it, compared to discord. You can also read the changelog literally in the game LOL just people never read it. What sneaking are you talking about.

As there isn’t any forum github repo, I suspect that only the responsible persons (you) can submit forum stuff? If I’m wrong, which language to use and where to put it?

Why would we need to code anything? Just tie Hellware to a chair, open up the forums and CM13 on split screen, and force him to transcribe the change log to an #acid-goop thread manually every day.

the forums are open source, they’re at GitHub - discourse/discourse: A platform for community discussion. Free, open, simple.. you’d be best off making a pr to GitHub - cmss13-devs/github-discord-bot that would allow it to create topics using the api Discourse API Docs
