we make use of the drop pods that req can drop as a new system where people can helldive into the planet or space sation as a fun event idea or actual use in distress signal
we get in a drop pod then we drop on the planet and we can take gear inside the pods like 2 slots for 2 backpack or 2 ammo boxes or 2 items and we can disasemble the pods for extra mats like 5 plasteel and 10 steel or some maybe even make the pods be affected by hive structure making the pods get lost and drop randomly.
or we could make the evac pods into smalle unit pods for less people but enough pods for everyone so at least each pod ca have some emergency materials inside.
im open to sugestions i just wanted a cool drop pod to roleplay ODST or helldivers and have fun inside Colonial marines
not really, paradrop uses a parachute while this is a pod that is made of materials and can carry 2 things i guess plus what you can hold on your hands so its extra storage and i didnt talk about the landing mmm maybe the landing should do a small explosion or destructive force
someone suggested on disc the other day that if you immediately call evac at roundstart you could load the entire marine force in the lifeboats and escape pods and launch them unfuelled to rain down upon the planet and rush the premature hive, I’d like to see it played out at least once in my lifetime, if someone’s willing to bite the bullet and take a ban for the team that’d be sick
Already in the game, mate. Simply jump out from DS with a parachute when paradrop is not active, you will land somewhere on the map. Jump without parachute to land everywhere on the map at the same time.
Paradropping in a non blind matter anywhere on the map is something I suggested a while ago.
I think it could be funny but it should have the big disadvantage that the drop site would be much less accurate and marines would be scattered, needing to regroup as not to get picked apart
I’d do anything to get Airborne LARP, I’d even let Ravagers and Warriors exist in peace without malding at them :(, could even be droppods and not parachutes
