ERT jumbled alliences

I recently thought out something thats kinda wierd that can happen.

During hijack of course, marines can call in an ERT thats random, and then dock at a station with random infinite ERTs. But what is the precedent on the alliences between the different ERTs?

I get the CLF, Xeno and Feral are always going to be hostile to everyone but them. But what about ERTs like the UPP? If the random singular ERT UPP is hostile, but the infinite ERT UPP are friendly (infinite ones always are), what happens between them? Do the UPP have to fight themselves to defend someone else against their own countrymen? Or can the infinite ERTs go hostile on the USCM to aid their fellow soldiers who are fighting the USCM?

Not sure about the ruling, but from the RP perspective hostile ERT is like kind of a spec-ops and infinite ERT are like regular soldiers. If infinite ERT has orders to assist marines and they encounter same faction hostile ERT, then they could just as well assume that this is a rogue unit. And when it is specifically UPP talking about, well, they are inspired by soviets and a bit of modern day Russia, so blue on blue isn’t unheard off, in our case - not unreasonable.

This leaves way for emergent RP. It is already Hijack, it is already at the point infinite ERT spawns, let the chaos happen. Some infinite UPP guys can decide to help marines, other to help hostile ERT.

Simillar, but even more clear cut version with independent mercs. One unafilliated group came to pillage to get cash, other to help marines to get cash. So infinites have incentive to shoot the other guys, while hostile mercs have nothing to gain by fighting them.

Could be helped by giving infinite ERTs special armband, or even icon.

might be worth a policy feedback thread to get The Answer ™ on this because ive already seen it play out in a round
