Bit of an issue i’ve been having, you can tell by all my chat tabs, is chat clutter.
I’ve attempted to get a “minimal” hud, so I can read what my fellow Marines/Sisters are saying.
but a huge limiting factor to achieving this are the vital components for regular gameplay are spread.
You need “Info” for checking for bleeding, or checking the condition of an ally in general. aswell as their gender.
And you need “Combat log” for Shrapnel
For ghosts you need “warnings” for ERT’s
And there is ALOT of clutter that comes with these messages
I can’t read that you said “splint chest” your message got buried by “You apply trauma kit to Bob Cross” I’m sorry.
You can use text highlight if you want to highlight if someone in your squad says something,
But to be honest?
Most actions done like bandaging, splinting and CPR I can tell by the loading indicator + awareness I’m holding the X tool in my hand and clicking someone.
You may also have runechat off, it kinda makes when someone speaks or says something while on-screen to go over their sprite and that saves you from reading the chat on the right.
That’s how it’s for me and makes it easier to read/talk to people near you, as for radio or stuff like that? A brief glance to the side or like I said, highlight!
