Basically the UA, UPP and TWE are having diplomatic talks about something, at some planet, and the Almayer is the only ship available to transport the president, while on the way to the planet, the marines will have to deal with W-Y and CLF trying to disrupt the talks for some reason or another.
Yes, i am aware that at least one MT is gonna try shooting the president for one reason or another.
The basis of the game is that we are playing a dogshit, meaningless, one in a dozen of dozen of a dozen troops transports. If you look around the ship, it’s filled with broken pipes, and spare parts. The actual CO of the Almayer is dead, so it only relies on an XO. If a CO is present, it’s only as an acting-CO till one is found because all COs have their own ships off somewhere in the Neroid.
The Neroid itself is a Border-territory filled with Rimworlds. Which is to say they are undeveloped backwaters with scant outposts demarking claim and minimal civilizational development. The territory isn’t even owned by the UA, but the TWE, who pays us to patrol it.
The President of the UA likely won’t be leaving the Sol, unless it’s to visit core territories which are patrolled by the Eridani, not the Herculi (us). And if it’s not there, it would be the core or private worlds of the TWE at most where such a talk would occur.
Then let us transport the Cousin thrice removed of the presidents dog.
Its a pretty fun HvH event idea where one faction needs to protect a VIP while the enemy faction trys to kill (or better kidnap) Said VIP.
That’s why i said we need some actual reason to justify why the president would be on a shit heap like the almayer, obviously no one in their right mind would have the almayer as their first choice of transport.
We can change what planet it is and where the President is getting transported to to something that makes more sense then neroid, with the CLF being easily replaced by some other anti UA terrorist group.
Diplomatic talk events are always good fun. I’ve had some fantastic rounds in CIC during them and always enjoy when Biolock or whoever throws a roleplay event together.
That being said it’s never the President that represents the UA and it wouldn’t even be good roleplay like LoverShacker said. Always better to have an ambassador/representative type person conduct it instead, even a CO or a visiting Colonel would be better. But uh ya these events do happen but they’re kinda rare and I’d be down for them to happen more often.

I mean it can be a cool event but sounds like mapping a new ship in would make more sense. Like a whole new custom HvH game mode. Protect the president/WY while CLF/UPP attack, almost like Whisky Outpost kinda but it’s a hijack of a ship in space.
One of the most garbage ships in the entire UA fleet transporting the president to very important diplomatic talks because all other ships are busy just seems kinda jokes/silly tbh
Yeah but i mean who in the hell is going to actually model an entire ass ship just for some event? Way easier to just use the almayer and make up some excuse like how this is the retirement of the almayer because it’s like the last of it’s class or something and the President is using it on it’s final voyage for PR or something.
could also be some politician/WY bigwig that operates in the sector, maybe they screwed over the local colonies and the CLF put a hit on them, so they need to have a marine escort
Years ago we had this as a event. In short it all went to high hell. Marines were not RP like at all. People were being boinked by admemes for LRP and whatnot. Was not a fun round.
