make it stowable in suit storage - it doesn’t really make sense it can only go in the back, considering it’s a smartgun with some extra bits on it
would make it less of a pain in the ass to use

Its not on the back for lore reasons, its on the back for balance reasons.
i mean you still need to deploy it and so on
If you have stims you should be able to rip off the M56D off it’s tripod and use it two handed like master chief. Wait this isn’t acid goop

does nothing to address the fundamental “issue” of the M56D which is it’s clunkiness to use + imo would kinda decrease the felt impact. Part of what makes it “feel” like a big heavy machinegun is the big sprite and how it only fits on your back, etc

i dunno, its pretty inconsistent in the game what goes where - the rocket launcher is a suit slot thing for example
