I remember my first Bob Cross XO round. Dual drop on Sorka. Delta wiped in 5 minutes after landing. Man is a living legend. He should really be unbanned.

My favorite bob cross moment is when in a mutiny, I was shot dead while trying to negotiate, and then @Mensla murders cross and gets away with it

I swear I’ve seen Bob Cross executed more times than any other XO in the server’s history. From impromptu battlefield executions, military police firing squads to having a damn General arrive and personally order their execution for destroying the ship AI lol
Bob Cross for sure elevated the server’s unique atmosphere but they kinda pushed the boundaries a bit too much into low-rp territory at times and used a few too many XO tokens in a row. The fact that Bill Carson returned and started playing again less than a month into Bob’s ban is not suspicious at all…

He had cool RP, the perpetual dual drops ruined him for me IMO.
I Legit thought he played the arrogant CO extremely well RP wise.

That time Bob Cross had the Marines push the sensor tower from all the way in the LZ1 caves on Solaris. BTFOing the Xenos, and the entire Marine force doing PT runs through the entire cave system in 3 massive circles before winning the round in 40 minutes.
Then there was his birthday party in the CIC with all the SLs, then demolishing the Xenos 10 minutes after we landed in Soro.
Finally….the round where myself and the CMP arrested Bob Cross in the CIC for Prevarication on the Gunship Pilot (got to love split drops), whilst a legit Mutiny was brewing, nat 20ing a charisma check on the mutineers to stop the Mutiny, only for the firefight to start anyway when an SO started blasting……was going to be neutral to the mutiny at that point, but I saw the SEA fighting alone so I slipped in a flashbang.
Later a second then third (illegal) mutiny occurred until an admin intervened.

the time the ship was taken over by CLF and he got on his knees and kissed the CLF’s commander’s boot was pretty iconic.
Bob Cross was a “bad” XO in that he played a bad guy, but he almost never did actual grief/troll shit. You can be 100x worse by just ordering arrests for minor shit all the time, but very few people got brigged for fucking with him and he mostly took it in stride, overall did an excellent job playing someone who was fun to hate. bring him back.

Back when I returned to CM earlier in the year, I was maining SO. On one particular round I was graced by Bob Cross’s presence and John Kilgore, along with some other SO’s (irrelevant to the plot). We had gone to red because of a larva onboard and all SO’s were geared from head to toe.
A bunch chatter on general comms is spouting for Cross to stop commanding the op (standard, it was getting ignored). Kilgore steps outside to go grab food, and low and behold there were the marines who wanted cross to step down from command, in the CIC hallway, with their rifles and flamers out. A gun fight ensues and the mutineers are dealt with (this is an official mutiny)
Later on, another mutiny is attempting to take place, and actually blow their way into CIC before an admin intervenes and stops them. “You can only have one mutiny per round” or something else was the excuse.
All pure kino, all ruined by an admin…
