Finish the fishing code

I think that fishing would be a neat thing to do to add to the little camping stuff we have like campfires, tents, etc.

Im tired of not being able to deploy my fishing rod and also not being able to catch anything but old shoes.

Im not fully sure, but Iirc the one working on it has left CM.

Either way, you know you can just finish it yourself. No rules against finishing others abandoned projects.
There should be already tons of fishing sprites in the repo as well, ready to go.
So just adding fish to catch should be something you can do via ctr+c ctr+v in a few hours.
All you would need to do would be make a bunch more objects and assign the fish sprites to them(1-2 lines), and then add those to the list of items you can fish up. That be the bare minimum though, still very easy to do.

I think PVE has a better version of the fishing code (or at least one where there’s a slim chance to catch fish.)

CIC watches in despair as half of the marine force, including all but 1 delta stop pushing and start fishing. Mere minutes later, as the non-fishers have been totally wiped out, the Queen attacks the fishermen and is near-instantly killed by a surge of angry, disturbed marine-fish; who promptly return to fishing.

The round ends with an abomb an hour later as the xenos form a truce and begin fishing too.
