Fix LRP Autodocs

In Alien: Prometheus we see a Civilian, Elizabeth Shaw use an Autodoc by configuring it, then climbing inside.

Yet, in Colonial Marines: SS13 amazing badass combat marines, trained to kill a Young Drone in 1000 different ways can’t configure an Autodoc before climbing into it. Why is this?

I understand Xenodevs don’t want Marines to be healed, but it’s weird and I think this oversight needs to be updated. Thoughts?

Autodocs on PvE were given automatic mode, something that used to exist in PvP. It’s slower due to having to diagnose the issues as well, but it allows the Automatic Doctor to be well… automatic, given you have somebody to activate it.

The reasons I’ve heard are that due to Shipside docs already having a rough and boring time of it. We don’t want to hand off much if any workload to the auto-doc. Jesus Christ auto correct

Saying that it should probably get a boost in functionality and use on lowpop.

Given you need to be med-evaced (whether that’s with the Normandy or just going up on the Alamo) to the Almayer to be able to use it, plus research has to sink a fair few points to make it actually usable for anything beyond a papercut, plus it takes an age even when manually operated, I don’t see much wrong with having the automated system be available. You’re accepting it’ll take a long time as a trade-off for not requiring any outside involvement.

Realistically, nobody prefers to use the autodoc nine times out of ten, so the concern they might overshadow actual doctors is pretty low. They already are just for if things are really bad (or your surgeons are absent/bald) and you just need to free up hands for more urgent cases.

The reason for using autodoc stems from marines didn’t trust docs on surgeries; which leads to docs didn’t have experience to perform them fast enough to gain trust. And no they didn’t have dummies or tutorials to train.

I like things the way they are at present.
