this is my first post on the forums but I’ve always wanted to know, I personally use these often to recover as many marines and battlefield spoils as i can however i almost never see others use them, instead they just drag everything back to the fob themselves or ignore unrevivable corpses or crates/intel & xeno corpses that are too far out where they are, the Fulton seems pretty straight forward so I’ve never checked with anyone on how practical they are, is there a reason why no one seems to like them? do people use them and i just haven’t noticed? everyone has different playstyles so I’m just looking for opinions on it in general, thank you for the discussion.
I used to use them but the pilots are super unreliable so I just stopped cause it wasn’t fun having to radio for them to Fulton my stuff up and nobody responds. Now it seems like a job only intel officers want to do.
Yup fulton is great… so too is medevac, but sadly its is reliant on the drop ships. Most the time its CAS on the norm that is running the both the fulton and the medevac, but a lot of times no matter how much you call up the norm for a pick up they never respond. even than some times they never get the shit off there dropship and never call out leaving the loot to rot.
TL:DR as tactical pointed out pilots are unreliable.
It really depend on pilot if you got very competent pilot that lucky you but if not it just a waste of fulton
That is afew reason i seen so far
I’ve written this before but Medevac, and Fulton, should work automatically so long as the machine is active, not requiring the pilot to activate it.
If you want to reduce risk of someone being forgotten, just make the casevac system send an automated message on the Medical Comms that it has picked up a patient.
Fulton is nice until they load it in the fucking Alamo instead of the CAS gunship
this is actually a great idea and it would help keep the load off of GP’s when they don’t have a crew chief
GP picking up fulton? Good luck, these days you have pilots who just want to be in the top frag fun fact and either ignore you when you scream ten times about fulton or wont even bother to install fulton on normandy and if you dare to ask about it they will call you names.
If you get lucky and pilot is responisve then it is pretty useful tool to support research and intel once all the easy loot is picked up.
Fulton was also nerfed some time ago and you cant send wooden crates up (it was very easy for IOs to extract intel)
A lot of IOs use them.
Fulton 100%. Having to pull them in manually is what kills the feature.
Like, you can fulton up full creats. But nobody ever does. And most the corpses that get send up fall back down to waste the fulton.
But medavac rather needs to be able to be used like fulton rigth now. Rigth now its restricting pilots, because its restricting pilots. Like, why cant we pull people over the menue up and have to select the strecher, then walk all the way down and pull em up? Thats so dumb.
And a lot of IOs dont. Because half the fultons they send up fall back down.
Do you rather take the gambel if the GP is actually picking it up, with the risk of it falling back down and leaving ALL the intel behind without you knowing. Or just haul your ass back to FOB.
Plastic still works Iirc
-req typically never drops it
-people might not buy it
-IO’s tend to die early in the round
-comms might be out
Some crates just dont work for some reason, like certain crates that come up ASRS dont work but normal grey crates work fine, you can send them up but the pilot cant recieve them
that really seems like someone made it unnecacrily hard to fulton up creats.
Or the code is pretty fucked up. Later wouldnt be strange.
