General Hi Ping - Player Report: Wayne “Wild” Barnes , Rule 4: No griefing

What’s your BYOND key?

General Hi Ping

Round ID:

28859

Your character name:

Jeffrey Narisktav

Accused character name:

Wayne “Wild” Barnes

What rule(s) were broken?:

Rule 4: No griefing

Description of the incident:

Stole the Command Tablet as a survivor while they were being given IFF, and instantly redeployed without saying anything. It cost us the round as I wasn’t able to quickly announce to the marines for them to stop being stupid and stop pushing north instead go west. The Command Tablet is a crucial CIC tool that shouldn’t be just stolen lightly and be instantly deployed with as it criples CICs response time as often marines only listen REPEATED to command announcements.
I wasn’t aware that the Tablet was stolen until I ahelped it as I thought it had bugged out like I know some handguns do with holsters and I was busy dealing with the marines failing to coordinate in caves resulting in a wipe.

Evidence:

Nessie told the player to hand it back to the Major (who was also deployed by that point), but I am not sure if anything else was done about it.

Hello @general_hi_ping

After looking into the matter and diving into the logs, I could not determine any malicious intent with regards to the theft of the Command Tablet as the logs show they did intent to give the tablet to the Major. It was also confirmed in-game when the ticket was handled.

Due to this, and that a clear intent to grief or cause annoyance is what defines Rule 4: No Griefing, I will be denying this report. If you see any further incidents of this type, do feel free to sent us a ticket and it will be looked into. For now this report is denied.
