Pierce
Provide a short description of your synthetic’s backstory
A synth from Weyland-Yutani manufactured by Weyland-Yutani Synthetic Systems, Division 12C, designed specifically for Engineering Support / Emergency Medical Assistant / Security Liaison work. He was originally given to a understaffed, low budget research enforcement ship that absolutely needed the synth’s expertise to survive, called the USS Dalmono. They got interviewed and assigned tasks quickly after activating, they had repaired the ship’s power issue, and helped the doctor with an overflow of patients after a recent engineering incident.
Afterwards it was swiftly raided by UPP Forces, most of the marines had died in the assault, the UPP spared the synth, and soon, it was saved shortly after by Weyland-Yutani PMC’s. They quickly got to securing the ship, and taking out the UPP forces before it got out of hand, and recovered the crew. The aftermath was simple enough, as the recovery crew soon brought back the synth and decided to proceed to give the synth to a different vessel/colony in need of extra hands.
Describe your synth’s personality without mentioning their skills or previous professions
Pierce maintains a steady demeanor no matter the situation. Gunfire, explosions, wounded marines screaming for help. His vocal tone rarely shifts, creating an almost soothing presence in crisis. He absorbs details instantly, body language, environmental hazards, broken equipment, wounded symptoms. His awareness makes him perceptive but also reliable.
While he provides short, and efficient answers. His phrasing is gentle when interacting with stressed or injured crew. He never lies, but he chooses wording that keeps up morale. He does not always express care verbally, but he positions himself in harm’s way without hesitation, becoming a shield for the team.
How would your synthetic interact with enlisted personnel, officers and civilians? How could you involve your personality into these interactions?
Officers they would say Sir/Ma’am, and salute them accordingly. They would be formal, and respectful to those of power. Pierce speaks to officers in clean, efficient language. He understands hierarchy perfectly. When an officer gives an order, Pierce goes along with this order as soon as possible. With officers, he avoids humor. He doesn’t interpret sarcasm as necessary, he simply answers it literally unless instructed otherwise. Some find him too calm, especially after chaotic events where he lists casualties with the same tone he uses for maintenance requests.
Enlisted personnel, he would state by rank. Usually trying to be formal. Enlisted marines give synths a hard time. Pierce expects, and accepts it without friction. He becomes the quiet professional in their eyes.
Civilians would be called by Mr. or Mrs, a formal, yet simple name for those he may not know. Civilians are often anxious around synthetics, so Pierce’s approach is soft and deliberately non-intrusive. Pierce tends to kneel when speaking to frightened passengers or wounded civilians, placing himself physically on-par with their eye level.
Why do you want to be a synthetic/why should we whitelist you?
I’ve tried several times before believe it or not, and it was always a mix of not having enough vouches, or not having enough description. I’ve had someone vouch for me before on a past application. I think I’m ready, after reading up on all the documents, and getting to know everything again. I mean, I really wish to show my abilities that I know how to be a synthetic, and that I can truly be an expert at roleplaying if I have the ability to. Most of the roles in CM that I were to have access to aren’t usually easy to roleplay in. Most of it is focused on combat, and that is a little difficult to show my roleplay abilities.
What is your most memorable interaction with a synthetic?
I remember back then, when I was playing a colony survivor that I was roleplaying with a synthetic in a pizza delivery uniform, delivering an empty pizza box. It was pretty funny, and I enjoyed the time with em’. It was pretty memorable. But if I remember we fell to the xenos.
Synthetic Character Story:
Skills:
How familiar are you in CMs support roles such as medical/engineering/requisitions/command and which of them are you more and less proficient in?
I am very familiar with all the support roles, primarily Medical and Engineering, I know plenty about medical besides mixing chemicals, I know engineering plentiful, on how to make stuff like an APC, to barricades and so-forth. It’s simple enough for me.
I am proficient in Command as well, I usually take it up to my best abilities to make commands or clear orders for people to acknowledge and read and get on with. But usually I just end up being a staff officer.
Requisitions may be the least knowledgeable, but I think I can get the basics of it, it seems simple, but stressful so I never really got into it. But of course, I should be able to give some more time into it to see how bad it really is. I think it’ll be pretty simple enough for me.
What are some scenarios that you can perform combat in? Give us a brief example.
A synth can defend itself if Code Delta is called, it could also defend itself with non-lethals, such as smoke grenades in some cases, but also can throw lethal grenades away from itself as well as knives included. It is also authorized to defend crew from hostiles, but not actively chase them far enough to be out of view of the said crew. The whole synth combat is most of a “Only attack if it is absolutely necessary.” In most cases. My answer is pretty minimal, because I am a TAD tired, but maybe I’ll extend it a bit more soon.
