Provide a short description of your synthetic’s backstory

Raven, a Weyland-Yutani Synthetic, is a specialized personal assistant. Essentially they fulfil the roles of a knowledgeable and skillful assistant. Since of the nature of Synthetics, they are also more trustworthy for personal, private, or classified matters. Thanks to this Raven line Synthetics are useful as medical doctors, personal assistants, secretaries and more. My personal made-up story was them being a support Synthetic for a PMC, since I enjoy and felt most comfortable with that.

Raven IS a mass-produced model. Meant to be not-so unique to fit most archetypes. Raven models will adapt to the job and title given to them and attempt to handle it. I also chose this somewhat deliberately to avoid burning myself out, I will simply act like how I normally play - Just more calculating!

Describe your synth’s personality without mentioning their skills or previous professions

A professional, somewhat cold, and calculating Synthetic. However, they do mimic or atleast attempt to mimic compassion in times of distress. They will prioritize saving someone (as seen in my story), in times of distress. Always dressed as efficiently for the job, or if in a more customer/public relations role, they would dress in whatever is most appropriate for a Synth to blend in.

She/They can make jokes! Banter and more, however as I myself struggle… They may just stay silent unless prompted. She WILL go into detailed explanations on topics that I myself may be knowledgeable (I am a Student Nurse IRL, so I enjoy speaking about what I do within reason and I am a dork about certain topics)

How would your synthetic interact with enlisted personnel, officers and civilians? How could you involve your personality into these interactions?

In the context of the Almayer.

Enlisted personnel would be treated like either co-workers or customers. I.E. With respect, to respond to when prompted to, and to properly identify and ensure their treatment is adequate. However, in most circumstances Raven would not be inclined to offer much more than simple help, if the task is unimportant or inefficient. They are someone to service and have good relations with. She may joke along, if she feels comfortable enough.

Officers would be treated like upper-management or direct superiors. Respectful, always attentive, and ready to impress them. To blend in, Raven will have some delay to her responses to not act like a simple robot or computer. She may ponder, think, and suggest things in the right circumstances. But, in the end most of them are in direct command of her.

Civilians are treated almost like the Enlisted. However, she would take a more professional tone with most. Unless she is assigned as a personal care provider, I.E. a Physician or a Doctor. Survivors, in the context of CM, will be assisted within reason towards their rank and assignment. Marshals would get better treatment and respect than a normal joe, however both will be cared for equally.

A key difference is that she will see fellow WY Synthetics like her ALWAYS as extended family/co-workers. Certain high enough ranks of WY Personnel will be treated as Godfathers and/or at the least very valuable personnel to treat well.

Why do you want to be a synthetic/why should we whitelist you?

I find synthetic to be a fun and engaging role that is able to interact with people with a sense of independence but also dependence. I enjoy being needed and being able to help. Isn’t that what synthetics are for? To help and engage with their clients to support them in what they are required for.

I’ve been on CM for like… My discord says July 4, 2019. So, around 6? Years? With a break of 1-2 years. I’ve always seen certain faces like Lucy, Jeanne, and a few others that I cannot remember. I always found them neat and helpful back when I was still starting out with command roles or just in RP in general. I strive to be like them.

What is your most memorable interaction with a synthetic?

Synthetic Character Story:

onboard the Almayer, or anywhere in a USCM setting.

I hope my creative freedom to instead put them with WY is not an issue.

Skills:

How familiar are you in CMs support roles such as medical/engineering/requisitions/command and which of them are you more and less proficient in?

aI am very proficient in all support roles. I think chemistry is the weakest. Requisitions I still struggle a bit, but that mainly relies on having a good SO + Marine on ground actively calling out for supplies. Engineering I’ve done the basics and what is usual. Command? I’ve done a lot of aCO CMP ops, played a bunch of SO recently to practice, and learned a slight bit of Intel and how it works in practice for this Synth app. Now question is? Why do I have such little playtime? I got my hours wiped during our time-lock PR stuff, I have the experience and the skill, sadly I only have medics and old chat logs mentioning my CMP “John Trune” from years ago. Synth-1 hosted at ImgBB — ImgBB, Synth-2 hosted at ImgBB — ImgBB Added: I am a lot more confident in requisitions, engineering, and medical roles. I am able to conduct tasks well.

What are some scenarios that you can perform combat in? Give us a brief example.

Scenario 1. Raven is currently conducting Casualty Evacuation from the front line. There is a backliner, (CLF/Xeno.) Attempts to hide behind cover and/pull away patients from the combat area has only placed the patient in risk of dying due to lack of treatment. Raven will attempt to use a implement/tool (Hammer/Baton), etc. To either neutralize or scare off the attacker, however the priority is the patient so Raven will stay within atleast eye-sight or close-by to the patient after administering kits or easy to apply medication to stabilize, if possible.

Scenario 2. Marine is flung into the enemy backline. There is Warriors, Spitters, Boilers, etc. Just a general bad idea. No, I will not go into combat to retrieve them.

Scenario 3. Code Delta! (I.E. Synthvivors till marine touchdown, Hijack) Allowed to neutralize threats as need be but prioritize life saving procedures.

Scenario 4. Working Joe! When an Intruder (Someone usually without ID access, or with in Hijack situations) is there. Non-lethal first! Then Lethal, if they continue to resist or fight back.

Final Info:

Have you been banned in the last month?

No

Do you have anything else you would like to include about your application?

I am a student nurse, so my time to play will be somewhat hampered. I am free to do the WL ‘observation’ playtime.

My English punctuation and skills in it in general may be… Bad as you might have seen.

Thank you to all the Synth Council members that have helped me. Making the story itself easier to read and just fixing stuff I may have missed. Thank you to all the others who gave their feedback on the story too. I have gotten a lot of feedback, tips, and generally how to act as a synthetic from a specifically Westover. Thanks to Lagomorphica for genuinely giving me the confidence to actually do this.

I may be delayed in any comments or questions.

Thank you to Lagomorphica for their insights and still answering my synthetic questions post-first whitelist. I have gotten more experience in other roles and have began to just mellow out my expectations of marines. C’est la vie. Round two.

I’ll take the 1st shot then.

  1. How or what area have you improved on since last app?
  2. A scenario for Raven: mass casualties on frontline and hive starts to rush for the remainders. Who or what would Raven prioritize acting upon?

  1. The issues with my last app was mainly my reactions and roleplay. I’ve gotten used to just not expecting marines to be competent as in if I’m already disappointed I can’t crash out. Skill wise, I have done a lot more supply/medical/intel, and more.

I have also just stopped my comments that were pointed out by Lagomorphica, namely just acting and calling Scout specs Rifleman+.

  2. Raven would prioritize those who are just in paincrit/falling down/easily able to be stabilized (I.E. The living), then if possible I would grab those who are most vital for the operation with either a roller bed or carrying them. The CO, XO, SO, Specs, or etc. The usage of Oxycodone, Dex+ and more.

If it gets too dangerous. Prioritize whomestever is closest and get them atleast out.

  1. Seems like you had a temperament problem in your last app. To which I won’t comment since I haven’t played for weeks.
  2. Your answer seems decent enough besides some assumptions like retreat had been ordered and such.

Not enough for a +1 but not bad enough for a -1. Good luck with your app.

Will comment that I assumed that I was on the frontline and assisting with casualties. If I was backline and I saw us wiping, it would depnd on mostly if I had marine escort to get to the front to stabilize it or depending on orders.

In all my encounters with serene she has been level headed and an excellent medic. You know you will be properly handled if sent to her. RP engagement is limited but such is the life of a medic, the talks I have had were great quality.

+1

Hello, thank you for applying, this application has been denied.

Your character and story were acceptable if not exceptional, there wasn’t that much to give them a spark of uniqueness, which is something you may wish to consider.

The primary reason for your denial is a weak understanding of the guidelines (both in your examples and in discussions we’ve seen you participate in elsewhere); At this time we do not believe this would be correctable post-acceptance.

A secondary issue that was raised was that your RP often came across as shallow during observations; with very little organic conversation and almost all dialogue being reserved for simple formalities (“hello”) or game mechanic callouts (“lurker there”)

You may reapply in 30 days on 10/18/25.
