Reason for Ban:
Banned for a racist joke: “What’s the difference between a black man and an elevator; the elevator can raise a family”. I was the dropship pilot, and made the joke after landing on Almayer to a couple of marines.

Your appeal:
I want to apologize for my lack of interest when reading and acknowledging the rules, especially this one, I hadn’t grasped the concept of no racism of any kind, including jokes, even if they were made for the purpose of getting a chuckle out other players, even if they were light hearted (this one was not). I understand how such things can be degrading, especially with people I am not close to and can aggravate certain views and have no place in such an environment that should be for fun stories not making people uncomfortable. I can only apologize and make a promise to be more mindful in the future, I don’t expect a ban release.
When talking with the admin, I was told I will receive a 7 day ban for this, but afterwards I received a 30 days one. I am not sure if this is about my past offences 5-ish years ago, but I can only say I changed a lot in these year, as I was 16 at the time and lacked maturity to understand the actual fun you can get from this game oppose to the instant gratification of griefing. While I played and got engaged a lot into the game the past 2 weeks, this was mainly because I am on leave, which will end this week and it really helped me. While I understand it’s not alright for me to expect forgivennes without consequences I want to ask for the ability to play for the remainder of the week, and my ban be multiplied afterwards as you seem fit.
I understand what kind of harm my ‘joke’ could have done and they they don’t reflect me as a person.
