The first one explains itself but the second one is a bit vague.
I went behind the mutineers and got blown up. My MK1 was gone so I just started shooting with my M44. I supposedly killed like 6 of them. I think Luke saw me emerging from the other side of the mutineers just putting them down while covered in blood.

admins did some funny which caused all marines to boycott the round and refuse to deploy, so they sent Whiteout Terminators to kill us, they gave us a warning about them coming in so I grabbed two buckets of iron and uranium, guessed the landing pad and caused a massive EMP the moment they stepped out of their shuttle into maint that gibbed them all. (round ended after xenos stopped waiting and just hijacked without marines ever landing)

My only medal as medic… and it’s not even for being a medic 
But yeah, if anything I’d say exceptional heroism is far more common than stuff like bronze heart. Only got one bronze heart out of all these years of CM. The majority of medals seem to be distinguished conduct (most common), and then valour and exceptional heroism seem tied. I’m pretty sure bronze heart is the rarest.
Honestly, people who ask for medals tend to get them less. Most medals nowadays come from recommendations anyway.

Got this for scoring 13 kills on a drug-fueled rage and then promptly over-dosed on them and died. Thankfully got revived though.
Also, to go with @BasilHerb’s point, I don’t have any bronze heart medals but I’ve got everything else.

I have gotten only one exceptional heroism medal so far, most are either distinguished conduct or valor.
And on the topic of bronze hearts I have one myself, for the best bannerman RP round I had. In my opinion bronze heart is so rare cause dead men dont tell tales, and most other players are busy trying to win. You need someone to tell about your deeds for you, fully on their own volunteership.

Nah in terms of roleplay “significance/rank” it goes Bronze Heart Medal - Medal of Distinguished Conduct - Medal of Valor and then finally Medal of Exceptional Heroism.
COs in general don’t give out enough medals and most of the time they are an after thought anyways cause they’re just lazy. 90% of medals are just distinguished conduct medals with the remaining 10% going to the other three with no real thought going into them. CO players that take the time to actually make interesting medals based on events and stories that took place in the round are awesome players in general. Chen’s wrist did not cramp up when it came to issuing out medals.
If you want medals of heroism or medals of any kind just play very visible rolls and put in your best effort into helping the marines out with communication and leadership, like Squad Leader. My ASO medal of heroism was me just straight up running down and soloing the Queen during a FOB nuke/siege.
My favourite Medal of exceptional heroism has to be my XO medal.
One of the most roleplay and action packed rounds I had ever been apart of. There was some major event where Chen more or less had to conduct a court marshal with lawyers and everything all while being held inside the chapel. I was a fresh silver medal XO and more or less had to take over the operation from the very beginning. The xenos had like actually 5 boilers and it was a constant battle of out manoeuvring one another to different chokes. It was a stalemate and I thought of an idea to do a fake nuke type play. I ordered all marines to fall back and to start building up both comm tower locations. I then left very small teams to guard the FOB and comms building while ordering all marines to the center of the colony to wait and do nothing. After 5-10 minutes the xenos came out of hiding and started boiler nuking one of the comms towers. I simply ordered a ,abcd charge flank on the comms tower and the marines pulled it off and killed almost all xenos in one attack. The shipside event went extremely well and the marine groundside victory made it even better. Was one of my favourite rounds ever played and my favourite CIC medal without a doubt.

Based off everyone’s medals, I swear to god Chen is responsible for at least 40% of the medals currently in circulation. Single handedly saving RP in CM…
I wonder if people should just start writing down paragraphs for medal recommendations so COs can just copy paste them.
