Yautja Character Story:

Main story: Rak'atho - Google Docs
Side story: Rak'atho 2 - Google Docs

A group of Marines suddenly rush up and start shooting you. How do you respond?

Assuming the group of marines opened fire without properly identifying me, or they mixed me up with a lurker, then I’d disengage and make some distance while giving clear signs that I am, in fact, not a xenomorph, either a voiceline/sound, or, if time allows, I’d threaten them to disengage utilizing the translator.
If the group has a positive ID on me and decides to engage me still, I’d play along as an antagonist and fight them.

Another Yautja hunted and killed a target you had marked. What do you do?

Not only are you taking my prey and my glory, but also the sustenance of my people. If a hunter stole my kill, I would confront them and demand an explanation. If it was a misunderstanding, I’d ask them to make up for it by either cooking the prey for me and my clan or offering up their own selected prey. If they do not comply, or they did it out of spite, I’d challenge them to an honor duel for disrespecting me and my clan’s honor.

Do you have anything else you would like to include about your application?

A member of the council advised me to add on to my story some sort of interaction of my character with prey. Due to the nature of the main story, I simply decided to make a secondary, shorter story that showcases just that.

I got the opportunity to give some tips here and there and provide feedback - lovely story, it has soul in simple terms, but sadly, the format is just ‘whatever’.
I will +1 this for sure, because even if it looks ‘raw’, it doesn’t lack ingredients, it doesn’t lack flavor nor content. Just like a sushi, at first it looks raw, maybe bad, but once you get into it? You wouldn’t regret.

easy +1 for me.

I love the idea of a food clan and I almost went down that road when I applied to a clan. Similar to how the Ul’uans call their leader Seer and the Trio’kana call each other heralds. You call your kin “Fleshweaver” and it honestly crawls up my skin because I love new clans being made that are unique. I can’t comment on character since I haven’t seen them myself but OOCly I think their cool and I’m sure they can be trusted with my fav whitelist.

Pred story and Clan Story was immaculate to read imo.

Questions

  1. In the middle of recovering gear on the Almayer, you see that the last piece of equipment, a mask, is being carried by a rifleman private. How do you get it back?
  2. Another hunter uses their plasma caster in a manner against the honour code right in front of you. What do you say or do?
  3. You are building a lodge in a spot on the map far from the frontline when a pair of marines walk up and immediately open fire on you. What do you do?

  1. Despite the private being a dishonorable target, I would approach this situation with a bit more tact in order to reflect the spirit of the whitelist. It is my belief that a good antagonist should be able to properly ‘hold themselves’ back for the sake of providing a good experience for newer players such as the private. First I would approach and issue a CLEAR ultimatum, ensuring the private understands that if he chooses to keep the mask he will be attacked. If the private shoots at me or refuses to hand over the mask, I’d proceed to attack him in a way that at least makes it fun for him by using melee or the more flashy tools in the arsenal. If he has backup, I would simply use any means I have within the honor code to retrieve the mask as soon as he fires or refuses.
  2. I would observe the situation and ensure that what the person did was indeed under dishonorable circumstances before doing anything else. If I can confirm that what the other player did was dishonorable, I’d just give them a pointer (OOC) to what rule they broke and how to attempt to save the situation assuming their actions resulted in any injuries. I believe that all WL players are responsible for their actions and are more than capable of fixing any mistakes they may do. If the behavior proves to be constant or the intent of the player becomes a bigger issue, I’d report it to the council.
  3. In this specific scenario, it pretty much tells me the two of them were looking for a fight. Since they became dishonorable prey due to the fact their intent was to raid the lodge, I’d engage back with all the tools at my disposal and ensure the lodge’s safety.
