How often do you encounter drama?

How often do you guys encounter drama directed towards you on CM? I feel like it happens so frequently to me but I play A LOT. (Maybe as much as Maddy!? .. maybe not)
So I play a lot of rounds and most rounds there’s nothing. Most days there’s nothing. But eventually I end up getting into it with someone where I get butthurt and sometimes get myself into trouble with the high-fuzz. Is this just me? Are you guys saints? Is there a circle jerk that I’m not invited to? What’s your guys’ experience like?

Almost never. Only time ive gotten really annoyed at someone was a CL being a pain in the ass (beyond the expected degree) when I was MP and new.

Oh, and when I shot a HG cause they where shoveing me into a rav.

I just exist.

I don’t get much trouble for doing that.

Last time I got into a spat with someone was after a survivor round eons ago. :person_shrugging:

Drama is never hard to find on cm, it’s best just to keep it at an arm’s length at all times. Too many people in this community take the game far too seriously.

Just dont be a salty dick and you’ll barely ever see OOC drama. If you’re getting into a lot of shit, chances are you’re contributing to it somehow.

Another thing is to have thick skin, most dchat salt is just venting and isnt serious.

Drama? Let’s me grab some popcorn and I’m all ears.

Serious drama is prety rare in cm13.

Ingame its really frowned upon and mean to be toxic to others bcus of the game. But everyone gets upset so noone rly minds especially if your directing ur evil to the game and not others. Most Dchat salt is just part of the ss13 experience and has no correlation to who someone is as a person

But ya i dont even know wat u mean by drama to be completely honest. If its toxicity, thats not TOO uncommon. But you can fight against it. It can be hard tho. Sometimes someone just gets pbed and their first thought is to kill the vibe, and sometimes its justified (like in dchat, the designated vent space), sometimes its not. But its definitely unjustified to bring that grudge into new rounds just to be a hater. Bcus its pointless.

Being obnoxious, acting like a 10 year old or thinking a PR is just about you is a quick way to turn you into a lolcow. Take a step back and touch grass. This is just a game and a free to play one at that. Emotional maturity can be lacking in this community.

a lot of drama you wont see, and is kept hush. This is simply because drama is toxic asf, and a lot of it is just private matters that need to be resolved

If “drama” is salt, I guess I see a little. If you wanna be Icarus you just have to get more deeply involved. Keeping a healthy distance and just playing the game will make it borderline impossible unless you’re exploiting or instigating regularly or something. The drama in the foreground that I see is usually contributors (people who make additions to the game) beefing but I like to think they all have good intentions. The background drama is usually cartoonish and not related to the game enough for me to gaf. I’m here to play a game, not vote for the next leader of earth.

Will say the parodies of salt or drama in acid goop does make me laugh when I do get the references

I will beef with you buddy. What do you want to beef about?

Oh you want beef?

I’m gonna grill you like a medium rare steak with a butter and rosemary baste.
I’m gonna turn you into hamburger meat with cheddar cheese on a brioche bun.
I’m gonna tuck you in and read you a night-night book.

Don’t mess with me pal, you’ve been warned.

I mean the “drama” you encounter isn’t often RP focused as it should be, it would be nice if angry players could just like IC drama to get their rocks off. So its typically random. I’d say a lot of the players on the server just have fun and don’t really let things get to them (to the best of our ability). We use to beat the shit out of each other pre-drop just for being in different squads. hehe we still do honestly thats the most drama there is.

going to echo what everyone else said but:

TDM game where people die and are removed from play for the round.
small community
easy communication between members

all roads lead to salt and mald, 90% of it is just people already annoyed they’re dead

I’ve played a WHOLE lot of normal SS13 before CM and I learned how to compartmentalize things what happened in a round as part of that round and part of the characters of that round. This is the best mentality for SS13. Sometimes though there are people who do the same thing every round and are annoying that you know that person for those traits, but that’s an IC thing.

The only time I ever consider something an OOC issue is if someone directly has an issue with me and is intentionally causing a problem at me or griefing in some way. Then it’s something to be of concern. I think I ever filed a player report like… 2 or 3 times out of the years I been on the server because something was that bad. otherwise I’d rather just deal with it IC in round.
