How to be a Combat Life Saver

The CLS can rescue many marines by helping other marines rescue them. Anyone who can purchase roller beds can become a CLS.

Simply deploy roller beds near fallen marines that are being dragged to safety. Watch as your team mates instinctively steal your roller beds so that they could drag them faster. It’s ok, you meant for that to happen, and you have more roller beds anyway.

Spend 30 points on 6 roller beds and spend the remaining 15 on a medical HUD or 3 more roller beds. You can also steal the rest of the roller beds from the vendors.

If you wanna go the extra mile and sacrifice more of your inventory to be a more efficient CLS, you will need to use a hotkey to instantly take out your roller bed. Use this to drag away a fallen marine by yourself.

Go to your Keybind Preferences, and set Pouch Slot to Ctrl+Q or Shift+Q. Put a roller bed in your pouch slot and press the hotkey. Notice how quickly you can draw your roller bed without any mouse clicks.

They don’t want you to know this, but the roller beds in the medbay are free, you can just take them. I mean, for 30 points, you could, you know, grab a set of B12 so you can move fast while recovering patient or some AP/extended mags if you feel like actually defending the medics. Roller beds are very rarely in short supply, especially if someone gets you the ones in the medical vendors.

Also, if I’m not mistaken, you can get a first-responder pouch and stick four roller beds in there for more convenient carrying.
