…it was a dream, of me, but, I was viewing from a different perspective… another player’s perspective of watching the menace-to-society of a marine named (now semi-cryo’ed) “Adan ‘Weed-Eater’ Stafford”. It was quite a learning experience.

And yes, this dream, was infact real to me, whether you believe it or not.
Anyway, I wanted to share what I saw of my self (Adan ‘Weed-Eater’ Stafford), but not as him, rather a casual player who have witness his acts.
Ahem.
Adan, we should call him Weed-Eater now due to his history of getting attention due to his gameplay style, was truly an anomaly to this game, more specifically, the chemical field, for several months.
He asked most questions about chems, what do they do, and most importantly, how to acquire those chems.
Once he found his flavor of liking, he started spamming the shit out of it every round for like 3-6 rounds whenever he goes online, everyday, week, and month as long as he existed.
It pissed many people off because of his gimmick as a marine; a rifleman using chems being both impactful and negligible every round. The pissed-off players eventually extended to the CM13 forums complaining about this dude named “Adan Stafford” spamming chems, the most memorable one was weed killer, or also technically known as welding fuel. It is practically free, and pretty much everywhere. The real weed killer was the TOX property in the welding fuel.
On the otherhand, he helped the chemical-based gameplay, especially research, shine into the rounds, showing how powerful, gimmicky, and annoying it is to deal with it.
So basically, his existence consisted of:
Find funny chem.
Spam funny chem every round.
Get everyone’s attention, and pissed 'n angry.
SOMETIMES get PRs opened that SUBTLY specifically targets the shit he’s using every round.
Find another chem.
Cycle repeats.
He was truly a menace to society until he cryo’d semi-permanentallg due to guilt of his actions during a certain round.
So what did I learn?
Pissing everyone off is fun. Yes, that’s a real statement that digital sadists say, but I do not claim to be one, so dont worry.
Everything you use for fun would eventually be nerfed or removed because of a group of angry people. (Or balance wise at least.)
You can make memorable marks on the history of CM13 if you do something interesting enough. (like a certain weed killer user making his presence prominent as a 5th specialist for fun).
And what I got:
Happy and angry people.
Got nutriment nerfed via an OD-vomit threshold.
REMOVED THE GAME FEATURE OF CHEMICALS DESTROYING WEEDS. R.I.P. WELDING FUEL WATERTANK BACKPACK SPRAYER!!!
Got the sprayer bottle nerfed from 250 units capacity to 125, and removed 10-unit spray.
GOT THE FUCKING WATER TANK BACKPACK NERFED DOWN TO THE GROUND TO USELSSNESS SOMEHOW for chemical-base warefare balancing.
Got the chemsmoke nerfed by reducing the amount of chems it injects into mobs. (this heavily affected the already-weak niche use of research chems, further pushing them to be just stim-maker crackheads, xeno breeders, and WF producers)
So what did we all learn?
Lets not become like Adan ‘Weed-Eater’ Stafford, and fun-things will stay!!! Yay!!!
