Idea: CO/XO Perks

XOs should be forced to pick terrain specialties and if the map doesn’t match their specialty then they can’t roll for XO on it and in fact should be locked into playing lesser drone for the round. Island terrain specialist NV static XO when?

On the serious side, i don’t hate the idea of more differentiation for XOs but yea this might be a campaign piece versus single-rounds. I think differentiation of XOs largely has to be done…by the XOs themselves though, so few people Look at them during a round that i think even something like what the COs have with outfits doesn’t really change my perception or understanding of Guy Who Put Big Red Message In Chatbox as a groundside marine.

I hear having a bobcut, going armorless, wearing the peaked cap, and being absolutely spineless does wonders in making you recognizable, though. For better or worse.

Neat idea but very gamey.

I’d be up for an origin that gives you some fluff items/ diffrent patches.

Looking at the options, tank is pretty much the best, perhaps the OB ones or rapid deployment- just to nuke rush.

My two cents on this is that it’d make more sense if the perks replaced one thing with a sidegrade to that thing. For example, off the top of my head, making it so that the ARC is replaced with the ability to get a groundside command tent that has a Groundside Operations Console [an upgrade] but can’t move [making it a sidegrade] for a Field Commander perk/trait, or replacing the mortar with a howitzer that has more generous range restrictions at the cost of mobility and the cost of ammunition for a High Caliber Artillery Enthusiast. Slightly changing up the game without there being an “optimal” trait, in theory.
