Don’t be too intimidated by the blueberry tribe. Alpha up, champ.
the “old guard” is long banned or WL’d. getting hazed by any squad is tradition. bring a fresh pair of underwear, have a drink, maybe a smoke, before playing.
Alpha’s the red one not blue get it right.
I’m thinking their an Alpha Chad (in their mind).
When you play delta you will end up in the hive 10 minutes after landing… one way or another.
The reputation is pretty earned
Truer words have never been spoken.
I thought, all deltards pack maxcap nades to blow up ten other marines when some beno tries to cap them
That is up to Ordinance Tech, but be sure if there’re HEFA nades on the map Delta will be the first to find and throw them.
Alternitivly, Willy-Pete FFs.
didn’t alpha us to fill the role of deltard?
i have some memory about alpha being similar a long time ago…
Well fresh players fill Alpha, but “being Alpha” has it’s own connotation so…
Alpha used to be absolutely fucking filled with baldies and still is to a much lesser extent nowadays. I think it’s honestly pretty nice, since the new PVTs tend to really love LARPing with the SL- Extremely soulful.
As long as I have played alpha is the squad where a lot of new players get shuffled… so its the squad of friendly fire.
Aka Why are alpha uniforms red? So you no one can see the blood of the guy you just buckshotted on accident.
I used to delta, but then I went alpha because delta’s would clear out attachments and specialised ammo in 2 minutes from waking up from cryo. Now It barely makes a difference, the only notable/unique squad is Bravo. Do Delta still get throwing knife belts?
Never forget what they took from us.
Charlie breakfast
Nothing like having made like three cades and already hearing MULTIPLE DELTA DOWN INSIDE FILT.
MFW the entirety of delta and some of the tagalongs from other squads (All of the smartgunners. Several medics. Some specialists) all got wiped at first contact because they somehow walked straight into the hive and got pincered by the Queen and the entire hive.
It was a glorious death.
People play delta when they want combat gameplay without the chores, or just like the color blue. That’s the soul of delta, and the culture is molded around it, ie: not listening to orders, not listening to SLs (especially since most SLs are new to the game), lots of strong (and not so strong) players going delta (its the dedicated frontline squad), etc.
Delta marines acting stupid is just funny rp (most other squads do it too) and everyone goes along with it since well, they ARE the ones charging right into combat, and they are marines after all.
Deltard for life. We dare to be stupid.
The reputation is helpful too. I accidently decapitated a bravo with a barstool over an argument… sound horrific.
But then you learn I was delta and he called delta “a pack of losers” and then its on the bravo again
