I’ve nearly cried for moths that die at porchlight lamps.
More for the plights of mice than men.
See, I myself have been stepped on so many times.
It’s started to feel like my place.
I’ve failed to fit in into those nests that scrape the sky.
Is there room for me in your cage?
Hello and welcome to the guide on obtaining every rat on the map Hybrisa.
You ever want to get those little rats on Hybrisa but just never knew where they all were? Well now you can collect all of your little friends with no worry of being lost. Gone with the days of randomly wandering and hoping to find a little guy to put into your backpack already filled with twenty other rats.
The future is now.
Locations of the Rodents
So far on the current variation of the map, there are fifty-two rats laying around in the streets and houses. I have gone through the effort to colour-code them as well as note where they are on the map.
There are thirty-three gray rats that are marked in blue.
There are thirteen brown rats that are marked in brown.
There are five albino rats that are marked in light gray.
There is one marten rat that is marked green.
There are three unique rats currently on the map. The three being Ol’ Timmy in a shut-off maintenance tunnel, Milky in the abandoned W-Y Research building, and Korey in Pizza Galaxy.
Obtaining the Rats
You will have to be fast in obtaining the rats as you are not the only rat finder. For this purpose, I’ve devised a Rat Loadout.
- Uniform with drop pouch. [RAT STORAGE]
- Light armour. [AMMO STORAGE]
- Headgear of your choosing. [RAT STORAGE]
- M39/M37A with whatever setup you’d like.
- IMP backpack. [RAT STORAGE]
- G8-A general utility pouch. [RAT STORAGE]
- Large general pouch. [RAT STORAGE]
- Large magazine/shotgun pouch. [AMMO STORAGE]
Now you might be able to tell that this is not a combat-oriented loadout. You are not here to fight and kill things; you are here to rescue the little fellas. With this loadout, you are able to rescue a grand total of forty-six rats. If you remove the ammo from your light armour and ditch the ammo pouch for another general, and ditch your weapon for another G8-A for your armour storage slot, you up that number to sixty-four rats.
Here is proof that you can do that.
And here’s the math for it.
- 2x large general pouch = 10 x 2 = 20 rats.
- 2x G8-A = 6 x 2 = 12 rats.
- IMP Backpack = 21 rats.
- Drop Pouch = 8 rats.
- Light Armour = 2 rats.
- Headgear = 1 rat.
1 + 2 + 8 + 12 + 20 + 21 = 64
Possible Complications in Rat Acquisition
There are many things that can go wrong in a rat acquisition. You could get cut off from the location of the rats, get murdered by a backliner, or somehow lose the rats. You should determine your own route to get to all the rats as it heavily depends on how the round is currently going. This is a game of luck and speed. Be as fast as possible and pray to whatever god you worship.
Another issue is the Milky Situation. Milky is situated at the W-Y research facility, south-west of the map. Milky will most likely be behind enemy lines most of the time. You will either have to pray that marines can somehow push the hive back into the engineer ship or somehow sneak past them and acquire Milky. This may involve the use of scout specialists.
Ol’ Timmy is another issue. His rescue involves the pressing of four buttons scattered around the map to be able to be rescued. I will not detail where those buttons are to maintain some level of the fun of finding out yourself.
That is all my knowledge passed down to you.
Happy Rescuing.
Although my eyes face forward, climb up on my shoulder.
Sure you’ll see my point of view; I’d bring you with me
To the office in my pocket, but the world would put us down.
Lock me up and toss the key.
You might seem behind bars, but friend, this cage is inside out.
It’s dangerous out here, Socrates.
It’s lonely out here, Socrates.
