Its so over medic-bros

it wouldnt be such a bad idea if the req update was rolled out first before this was

at this moment everything is just inconvenient and if you play lowpop, good luck begging an AFK/short-staffed requisitions for med supplies that will never arrive because the spec rockets or ammo need to come first

oh yeah good luck doing that too if comms is down and half of the RTOs are nowhere to be found

Me in my way to graft a marine who has 600 burn damage without burn kits. :muscle::muscle::muscle:

They were meant to be unlimited, that’s why this isn’t a bug fix, and I don’t see a single reason why they should be limited, it adds literally nothing to the gameplay except req having an expanded FOB crate checklist and medics occasionally not being able to resupply.

(By the way if you have any actual reason why you like the PR(s), please share them instead of simply insulting people)

I’m surprised “planning ahead” not equal to “metagaming” as surely a blind ass medic would choose to have more kits and supplies for a “distress beacon” scenario.
“What are we fighting man?”
“I don’t know maybe some CLFs.”
“Cool, I’ll bring 3 defibs, 10 stacks of burn and brute kits and maybe some overpowered chems, oh and 50 splints.”
“Sounds good to me.”
CMO chimes in: “don’t forget your 10 blood bags”
“You’re the man”

We’re not going to literally ban every Marine player for packing a anti-xenomorph loadout.

The PR implies that you need to metagame as medic or else you’re not getting shit done.

What other proof do we need that xeno devs are choking us marine bros?

Why not just remove autos from most groundside marine vendors to make them more reliant on medics and first aid like bandages and ointment, why make it infinitely harder for most medics to play the game?

just remove medic

Honestly just looking at xeno pr’s like this. Xenos “balance” involve a consolation prize of 5 slash damage randomly with a nerf that is negligible. While marine pr’s like this just involve torture, no compensation for the nerf.

Maintainers not being condescending to their playerbase and fellow players challenge: impossible

I think, if a PR is contentious and is put up to a vote by the playerbase and cannot even get a 1/3rd superminority of players in favor of it, the PR should just be outright closed.

Giving some feedback.

  • Shipside burn/brute supply was painful at round start due to all the corpsman taking them all, the auto resupply was fine but that was 2 hours later
  • Not a fan of the chem refill situation, medbay was littered with several dozen empty chemical bottles
  • groundside is a shit show with lack of medical resupply

I’ve not yet managed to play a high pop round that lasted into a long term engagement but I’m suspecting its going to be very bad for Corpsman resupply. It won’t be a impossible situation since Corpsman will have to default to their suture’s/grafts but that is suboptimal

Even playing lowpop last night it felt like we needed to vend every single injector on the ship and throw it all down in a crate for people.

The inability to resupply injectors combined with the windup for using them, also means they are directly inferior to pills now.

There was a balance here, now there isn’t

Pretty sure it was a 5u OD, I had like 10 hours on corpsman at the time still learning the role and you cussed me out because you were gonna have like 5 minutes of downtime. I would have apologised if your first words wasn’t “fuck you”

Wait, you can’t refill chem bottles as well? Its actually so joever for both doctors and research.

You can but the vendors have a limited supply of chems that needs to refill. But the refill rate is slow so you end up just vending all the chems since its faster, until you run out

Ah, so its back to making all the chem combos from scratch then. Also means that UNGA is the lowest of the priorities, which i am fine with.

i saw some Corpsman making up a UNGA Lite concoction and even they drained the contents of 1.5 vendors just to make it, so yeah I think UNGA is off the menu

I cant believe that we’re this deep in poverty aboard the Almayer, imagine highpop chemline roflmao

Although I definately agree that we need to make death and wounds have more of an impact. It seems like we are doing so by limiting medical resources?

Like, guys, the solution to fixing marines running on two broken legs and feet at mach 10 isnt to make splints impossible to find and bonegel worth more than gold…

Make a fracture matter more… make death more punishing…

I want the old days where surgery was difficult because of complications and preparation and knowledge… not because the almayer has a budget crisis.

How about we add back infections and the need to like wash hands and change gloves, and if a limb is infected bad and cant be saved, you need to amputate it to save the person.
