AnCopper. Back when xenos could age, I had much fun as ancient lurker finding stray pairs of Marines, killing one, and kidnapping the other. I would leave the abduction site and vomit them up in some obscure, dark cave on the other side of the map where I could enact my sadist lurker tendencies without interruption. I would proceed to play with my food by letting them roam around in the dark, call for help, bandage their wounds, only to erratically pounce and wound them, sliding off limbs etc. often I would leave them armed with whatever the had mag harned, usually shotgun, to give them a sense of hope. Occasionally if they did good roleplay and made me laugh by cursing the heavens or flaring up and pulling out a knife for mortal combat, I’d abduct them again and drop them back near their lines so they could hobble back to their loser marine buddies.
Anyway, I stopped doing that after getting told off by admin for not behaving like a xenos. Fair.
Are there any fun behaviours or antics you or other lurker mains get up to as prime, sadistic or otherwise.
Back when marines had solo backliners ( Ty Williamson, Joe Beasley, Omsk, Lance Endslay) I used to bump into the said marines as a lurker. Then i would proceed pointing and running away, wasting their and mine time, until they stopped giving me attention and chasing me, then i would pounce on their non expecting ass.
Thanks for your question, Deano! Sadly, those classic lurker shenanigans are mostly a thing of the past, tackling chances these days are way too low, I think it’s the caste with the worst tackle chance.
What I do enjoy, though, is playing the ultimate nuisance to the frontline medics. Nothing quite hits the sweet spot like slashing up all the roller beds medics roll around on. I do drive-by slashes whilst invisible (this does not disable your cloak!).
Mortars too. You can actually knock one of those down with a single slash, I really love to annoy mortar operators (since they now need to expose themselves by being near the frontline) and knocking their mortar down.
It also serves a strategic purpose. If their roller beds keep getting destroyed, they lose the ability to perform effective frontline surgery and triage. Sure, they can grab more from FOB or requisitions, but that’s time they’re not spending healing, reviving, or keeping the push alive. Every second a medic is hauling another bed instead of saving someone is a second marines lose momentum. It’s death by a thousand inconveniences, and I’m happy to provide every single one.
It’s definitely the scout spec, and it’s not even close. Especially when they run the EXPLOIT that allows them to CHAMBER an incendiary bullet and follow it up with a STUN mag.
Just because you don’t like it, doesn’t mean it is unintentional, otherwise there would be a mechanic that ejects last casing if new mag you loaded had different ammo.
GRUG runner is a menace, i am not saying BRAH isn’t by any means.
Grug devore marines in solaris not to be capped. No no..he takes them to SW caves spit them out beside the lunge mine and then have a 1vs1 with them repeatedly until he blows up. Then the marine have to survive to get out of the caves if grug somehow dies.(impossible)
