Final Details:
Why would you like to join the CM-SS13 staff team?
I enjoyed my time as a moderator and mentor previously on the server. While dsay, msay, being able to read LOOC and aghost are awesome, being able to preserve the game state from malicious or misguided players is possibly my favorite thing to do. I also just kind of find it fun to be honest, it’s neat to see behind the scenes.
What makes you a great addition to Staff? (Experienced Tabletop DM, Aliens Lore Buff, Super Organized, etc.?)
I’m a huge fan of the Aliens and Predator franchise, but I believe that I’m rather cool-headed, and would be an excellent addition to the team.
In your opinion, what is the most important quality of a CM-SS13 staff member?
Patience.
I’m a firm believer that everyone should be a little more patient, especially those in a position of power. You never know what someone is going through, and all it takes to have a positive interactions regularly with the player base is just a little bit of a patience and understanding. People come to this server for fun, and frequently rule breaks can be on accident. Just a slap on the wrist and a short conversation can be the difference between someone that is going to do better in the future, and a disgruntled player that either no longer respects staff or never returns to the server. Granted, this doesn’t mean that the player with a long rap sheet should be given a chance over and over again, especially if rule breaks are recent. Ignorance isn’t an excuse, but being an educator so that the problem is solved is more important than immediately removing someone from a game, and in general I’m a fan of letting things play out IC, as long as it’s not going to soil someone else’s environment.
Anything else you want to add?
While it hasn’t been awhile since I played last, I recently came back in the last couple months and have been enjoying the recent changes. Playing on the server makes me miss moderating it as well, and I’d love to be a part of it.
Sorry about the edit, it decided not to save the first page.
