What is your Discord username?
Lagomorphica
What characters do you play on CM-SS13?
Frydenlund Svafnirsdottir, Lucy, Rozamond A.W. Sarin (primarily)
Are you 16 or older?
Yes
Timezone:
AEST.
On average, how many hours are you available to moderate in an average week?
Hard to say. My work varies and my study schedule varies. I would wager 15 - 25 hours available.
Qualifications:
Do you have previous experience in game or community moderation?
Yes. I was staff on Beestation and head admin for a year or so, however my original application was lost. I did reapply, though, and that one is visible, alongside my staff feedback forum. I was also staff on numerous smaller servers.
Provide any links to any previous CM-SS13 whitelist, mentor or staff applications:
Accepted Lagomorphica - Synthetic Application - Synthetic
Accepted Lagomorphica - Yautja Application - Yautja.
I also applied for mentor on the old forums but it’s hidden to me and I don’t remember where it is.
Have you ever been banned for more than 24 hours on CM-SS13?
No.
Can you actively engage and communicate with the team through Discord?
Yes. I try to talk semi-frequently even now.
Final Details:
Why would you like to join the CM-SS13 staff team?
I’m not going to talk about wanting to fix any major issues with the server because I don’t really expect to be able too. I just want to help out around the server I guess and give back a little bit to the community.
What makes you a great addition to Staff? (Experienced Tabletop DM, Aliens Lore Buff, Super Organized, etc.?)
I learn fast. I also have a decently solid understanding of how 90% of CMs staff tools work and how to interact with people in a ticket, alongside how to write notes/warnings/bans etc that are detailed enough to provide context without being superfluous. My schedule is also rather flexible in terms of when I’m available.
In your opinion, what is the most important quality of a CM-SS13 staff member?
I think that what is most important is the ability to ask for help and to be kind, so to speak, at least from my prior staffing experience. Sometimes people are just having a shitty day when they do something against the rules and just need to talk for a little bit, to be told why what they did is wrong rather than just being noted. I know it isn’t always the case, but it’s always worthwhile to try just that little bit more. It’s also important to be able to admit when you fucked up, which I have had to do many times for my whitelists, at the least. It’s painful and frustrating to know you did wrong, but it’s worse to just ignore it and hope it goes away.
Anything else you want to add?
I don’t really have anything else to add. Thanks for reading my application regardless of the result of it.
I may be asleep shortly after posting this as it is roughly 3 AM AEST, so expect a slow turnaround on answers until tomorrow.
