I get that this is acid goop, but the PR where AA just outright killed the dropship was very cool.
Acidic Goop (AKA, Questions for the Void)
I get that the USS Almayer is heavily underfunded and should be in drydock for extensive repairs, but anti-aircraft missiles donât exactly fuck about â by the date of CMSS13, the USS Almayer should only be ~20 years old. How are the anti-air systems mounted? Is it a missile based system or a kinetic system? Why doesnât it require loading? Is the ammunition out of date? Is it a vertical launch system or is it something else? why does the missile system only knock the dropship off course? Why doesnât the dropship space an area?
According to some events where missiles are used, there is an anti-missile gun that has to âspin upâ. Does the USS Almayer have a mix of defensive weapons systems? Was this even thought about?
Also, Railguns-- whats the fucking service life of a railgun? Why can we activate an ARC but not the ships railgun system?
Who launches the toxic gas at LZs? Why doesnât SOP dictate that marines carry gas masks- On that note, why donât the gas masks work? Why isnât the USS Almayer given at least basic MOPP gear? The CLF have been known use chemical weapons, right?
Why does ARES store neurotoxin in its vent system? With the condition of the USS Almayer, isnât that an extreme hazard?
Why is the year stuck in 2182? Is the USS Almayer cursed? Are xenomorphs even real? How are we sure its not some freaky space magic?
On that note, what is the service history of the Almayer? Why are the ERT teams so quick to respond? Is the USS Almayer being followed by a handful of vessels? Do they warp? If they warp, whats the need for hypersleep?
Why IS the USS Almayer underfunded? Theres more threats in the outer worlds than there are in the core worlds-- sure, Xenomorphs are a new threat, but wouldnât you fund a ship that is in a region of a novel enemy?
Why isnât the Weyland-Yutani company responding to their own distress signals?
On the note of WY, its actually LORE INACCURATE to be called the âWEYLAND-YUTANIâ company, if we go by Alien (first movie), as its spelt âWeylan-Yutaniâ.
Why do broken bones only cause like, a quarter of pain damage? I broke my arm once and I was in a shittone of pain. Maybe Iâm a cowardic person, but like, Iâd reckon even marines would be in paincrit (ESPECIALLY when USING the broken arm â I couldnât MOVE my arm without being in INTENSE PAIN)
On that note, why are stims handed out so easily? Do I have to get my House MD RP on (S7E21-21)
Spoilers for a show that ended nearly a decade and a half ago
House uses an experimental drug to try and regrow muscles, but it is then proven that said drug causes tumors in the muscle regrowth area, causing him to attempt to excise the tumors himself.
Why wasnât the CDC contacted about the Polio outbreak? Why was there polio in space?
Why arent there any OWLF agents aboard? Why does the CMB do all the police work? Why donât we get boarded more often by ICC personnel?
What even is VAISOsâ goal? Kill any corporate personnel and be back home in time for dinner?
Why canât my rifleman have a bad leg? âtoo combat orientedâ? pftsh.
I think that the USS Almayer is a shitty vessel that should be blown up.
Maybe we could at least have a better funded ship next time?
