LITERALLY THE BEST GUIDE TO CAPPING MARINES

So, to start you need to understand that ALL xenos have a percentage to disarm and take down the marines. This depends a lot on each caste (In my opinion the best are Drone, Runner, Carrier, Burrower)

With Pheromone Frenzy your chances of capturing a marine increase significantly. If you are on the front line things become a little easier (or difficult) because there will be several marines shooting at the same time so you have to be careful. One of the very old tactics to capture a marine is if you are playing a warrior, grab a marine and throw him into the xeno horde (Literally free cap) Things change if you are playing as a drone, because you are weak but can easily disarm with frenzy, so work as a team with your sisters.

So the queen is joining the battle? This is the perfect time to continue capturing, when she screams you should grab one marine and keep disarming him while taking him to the hive (you don’t need to click directly on the sprite to do this) Keep doing this until the hive has more than 50 xenos, and watch the marine rage because no one is shaking when the queen screams.

Now running and other backliners is more complicated, because you will mainly use hit and run tactics. As a runner, use the pounce on the marine and disarm him twice and then leave, keep doing this until he falls and you can devour him. ALWAYS walk in the shadows and use the ventilation ducts and make surprise attacks. Now as a carrier, you need to work together with backliners to place Hugger Traps and Weeds for maximum effectiveness.

Burrower is the peak because you can simply ignore cades and go straight to capturing marines (this happened to me once, burrower captured me LITERALLY INSIDE THE FOB) but it’s important to be careful because shotguns can stun and kill you easily.

Now that you have learned how to capture the talls, bring destruction to the metal hive and all who threaten our sacred resin.

Pounce moves will reset all tackle chances for that person, if you plan on capping someone as runner then dont try pouncing more than once

oh yeah and also dont try on lurker in general its roughly a 1/20 chance or 5% chance to get a successful set of disarms

As a Prime Burrower player, Burrower’s tackle is NOT good.

It’s good enough. 1 stomp + an acid trap = cap

Pounce resets all tackles, runner needs minimum of 5 tackles iirc (or 4 maybe) to disarm. Your only way to cap as runner is to pounce once, get the two tackles, then try get the last 3 almost immediatly after and really hope that u dont get vibechcked by a shotgun/flamethrower.
