Allright since the tank has been readded I have yet to see it in a single round. Why the fuck is it poplocked at 200 people ? Did they buff the tank so it needs all extra xenos to stop it or something. The last time I drove the tank at a event it definitely wasnt some xeno destroyer. So lower its poplock to something like 120 so i can actuaclly see it in game

Tank is a glorified mobile cade with all the nerfs given to it.
A dedicated runner can kill a tank solo if it has no support, and even with support it dies pretty fast.
The only thing scary about tank is minigun + nade launcher, or flamer + nade launcher to cover a single flank and thats it. And even thats questionable since dedicated T3’s can rush tank.
Yet its poplocked to 200 even though its a much needed 150 or even 120 pop addition to help in rounds where xenos keep flanking, so you need a trusty wall to keep xenos occupied long enough for marines to pull back or get defibbed, or both.
Make it so that APC is unlocked at 150 instead.

Tank is funny, I wish I saw it more often. It’ll give ravs a moment to actually use their anti-vehicle damage.
So, hear me out Tank is not even that helpful to marine other than being a big target for Xenos. With out a drought the APC in every way is better than the tank. Tanks only benefit was the LBT cannon which was removed. Yes, the Minigun is useful now, but nothing will ever compare to the LBT. You got to also remember that last time tank was used before being readded was over year close two years ago. No one knows how to play tank. So I think APC at 150 or at 130 is completely far
Tank was only readded because admins would spawn it at 200 pop anyway. We hit 200 pop rare enough for the tank to not be annoying so everyone wins.
I’d say 170-180 seems more reasonable, we very rarely see 200+.
Tank is just annoying. It’s still the same 3x3 mobile bodyblock mobile it was when it was implemented. Personally, I don’t believe it actually makes the game all that much more fun, and imo it’s mostly just frustrating having to deal with a mobile 3x3 wall which, 70% of the time is driven by a lunatic who consistently cucks marines from pushing properly.
Then it either dies after getting walled in, or the xenos finally break it after clicking rapidly for half an hour straight. The weapons on the tank are pathetic- The best way to contribute isn’t to have a good gunner, it’s to have a driver who plants their ass on the hellchoke after xenos push through.
I get that the tank and APC is soulful and cool, but after playing through the first implementation of the tank to now, I don’t think we should add it back to regular round rotation. We ought to keep it at 200.

Bringing back the APC would be awesome though! APC could actually be interacted with by more than 2 players.
APC was soul, it was a great triage center for medics, good place for surgery, or transferring supplies back and forth to the front.
The threat of being bodyblocked to death stopped xenos from instantly curbstomping marines all the way to FOB in 30 seconds. The threat of the APC was the only thing that kept roundflow balance in check, it worked better than all this LZ fog, LZ turrets, half-the-colony-being-unweedable bullshit (that still has yet to amount to anything but slopsieges btw).
Just think about it… think back to the last time CM wasn’t a slopfest. You’ll realize the last time we had a decent round was before the APC, the last bastion of CM soul, got removed.

Which was static… then a dsployable… then with commtechs… then constant…then static again.
Now there are calls to make it deployable again.

I remember when someone put the parts needed to set up comms in a garbage bag once (cause it had lots of storage and I guess they thought it was slick), and we couldn’t get them back out
so we just didn’t have comms for the game
Marines start to really struggle against 45+ xenos, so 200 seems quite fair for the tank poplock balance-wise.
APC was always more of a balancing problem because it was explicitly designed to be as safe for marines as possible, as opposed to the tank, which was well known for usually killing way more marines than xenos.
Personally wouldn’t mind APC being back either, but you have to counterbalance for it and FOBs are already too strong.
3x1 folding cades getting structural weakness, or something fluff lorewise, so they become easier to destroy than regular cade, thus becoming a weak link.
